check out something like foodfocus or my fitness pal, any site where you can log what you eat. That really helps, I love food focus as it tells me the percentages of fat, carb, protein over the day so I know today was fat-heavy etc. But even if you don't log your food, any site that has a graph is really motivating. I got one from lilyslim to put in my signature on minimins, a weight loss forum, and seeing the line going down is really motivating!

I eventually lost almost 3stone with slimming and kept most of it off...until pregnant now. My big motivator was to get your scales -digital are more accurate and a carrier bag, fill that bag up with stuff until you get to 9lbs. Feel what you've lost - bet you're not so disgusted with yourself now. If you have been keeping a food diary look at your best week/day and replicate what you did. Look at the slimming world website for recipe ideas. Above all don't beat yourself up. Start fresh again tomorrow and allow yourself the occasional night off, it does your diet better in the long run. Good luck, you can do it!

I also found the magazine with other folks weight loss inspirational.

yes but your weight can fluctuate, don't get too disheartened, you have done really well. Just forget the syn stuff, and go from now!

where are you in your menstrual cycle? i seem to put back on 2lbs, then after my af i have lost it plus one pound.

Hello, I started slimming world about 2 weeks ago, but done ww in the past! I went crazy last night as we had the monthly pizza night with neighbours... Logged (i think) all the syns and it came out at about 40. I've been pretty good the rest of the week and just thinking that today's another day. Plus I really enjoyed last night and sometimes that's far more important!

Agree with others you are allowed to enjoy yourself sometimes otherwise you just can't maintain the momentum - and I did what ukelele did and that's really motivating - 9lbs is loads of shopping.
The other one when you're feeling yourself weaken and want to indulge is to ask yourself 'do I want this more than the weight loss this week' if no then don't have it - if yes then do - quite simple you're making the decisions and so long as you're still sticking to the plan the rest of the time you will lose weight - look at the stories rarely has anyone had a continuous weight loss without putting any back on - if you are too rigid you won't maintain once you reach target - I know - I fell off the wagon and have nearly put back on all my weight I lost 2 years ago - planning to get back on the wagon and listen to my own advice Hmm
