I have decided to bite the (black) bullet Grin , tomorrow I shall start weight watchers, in attempt to shed some of my monsterous post baby weight. I was getting away with saying "oh mummy tummy" until he started walking, seeing as he's almost potty trained and off to nursery it doesnt wash with most people anymore Hmm

So here starts a journey, anyone in a similar position that would care to join me along my way?

Went to the local club. I find it focuses you more and you are less likely to cheat ;)

Also the doc telling me lose weight or get diabeties etc was a huge wake up call!

I've been doing WW online for four weeks now and have lost a whopping... 2lbs.

Hmm

But I'm sticking to it reaaaalllly well this week, so I'm hoping for a bigger loss on Monday which is my weigh in day.

I appear to my surrounded by cake and scones, tis a terrible dilemma, and I just dont have the will power! the idea of a name and shame at next weeks meeting terrifies me though, I mean im pretty sure they wouldnt do it, but you never know. DH is off to buy me a steamer tomorow ( veg, not wallpaper) we'll see how that goes!

2lbs is a great weight loss :) think of it like 2lbs of butter.

It is a long hard road. Most weeks I lost half a pound here and there. At one point I lost nothing for 5 weeks. I almost gave up, but then I lost 2! Go figure!!

They would never name and shame :) just put any gains behind you and keep going :)

Believe me, the way you feel after losing a stone or two is bloody fantastic! :D

Congratulations Witty on taking that first step :)
I am a long term Weight-Watcher - it's been a slow road but have lost 25 pounds over the last few years. I have seen friends do many quick/fad diets and drop a ton of weight but it all goes back on as they don't learn how to eat well and modify portions with the odd treat thrown in! WW is NOT a quick fix, but stick with it and it will pay off.
Fruit is your friend, also diet mixers with your tipple of choice!
