I was thinking it would be enormously helpful if there was a thread entirely devoted to 'what you've eaten today....'

Also include which phase you're on. I'm a Dukan newby. Having done Atkins, WW, Slimming World, WLR !! I successfully lost 2 1/2 stone last yr but since the Summer a stone has crept back on. Sad

Smile ta muchly Thanks

IamSorenLorensen · 15/03/2012 14:56

Hi all I have been doing Dukan for 2.5 weeks and have lost 10 pounds so far. Have another 20 to go so a third of the way there.

I found it really hard at the beginning but am now getting into the swing of it. Did 5 days attack now on phase 2 and alternating pp/pv days.

Today's menu(pv)

Oatmeal porridge with skimmed milk and sweetener
Tuna, egg, cottage cheese and salad, diet coke
Chicken Tom and aubergine bake, activia
Lo cal hot choc before bed( not strictly Dukan)

Plus loads of water, tea, coffee and occasional sugar free sweet as treat.

Loving this diet! (although not so much on pp days!)

winkle2 · 15/03/2012 18:29

You aren't allowed lamb but hubs had made it so I ate it!

Would love the recipe for chicken bake :)

IamSorenLorensen · 16/03/2012 12:28

PP day

Oatmeal porridge
Smoked mackerel and cottage cheese
Dinner will be smoked salmon and scrambled egg, activia

Winkle2-sure, all I did was fry some chicken breast in spray oil, griddled discs of aubergine, then fried onion and garlic, added tinned toms, oregano and salt and pepper and layered it all in a casserole dish adding in fresh basil. Then baked for half an hour in oven.

DH added grated cheese and carbs to his! It was nice, fresh and healthy tasting.

isittheweekendyet · 17/03/2012 08:37

Hi...found a recipe online for drop scones which I've had this morning for breakfast with some scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Was delish and very filling!

Mix 2 egg whites, 4 spoons of oat bran and 4 spoons of quark together and pan 'fry' in small scone size dollops! Turn once when browned underneath.

MissWooWoo · 19/03/2012 10:48

IamSorentLorensen what is this magic low carb oatmeal that you talk of?? brand please!

IamSorenLorensen · 19/03/2012 19:43

miss Woowoo - Oops I meant to write oat bran! Just get it from the supermarket, by the porridge.

Pv day today

Oatbran gallette with cottage cheese and smoked salmon
Prawn salad
Roast chicken with veg

MissWooWoo · 21/03/2012 15:24

thought it was too good to be true Confused

jen127 · 21/03/2012 15:38

Does anyone else find that the pictures shown with the recipes rarely match the finished products!!!

jen127 · 21/03/2012 15:40

Anyhow I am on a PP day
Scrambled eggs with decaff tea with low fat milk and hermesetas
Salmon for lunch
oat bran for tea

I goe fed up having the oat bran in the morning.

Lindy0070 · 10/04/2012 20:57

Hi all,

Is this thread still ongoing? Have been doing the Dukan diet for 6 days now. Found it really hard to start off but am getting used to it now. The menus posted by others are really helpful as it is a bit boring!!!

My favourite recipe is cajun chicken. Makes bland chicken more tasty.

olijackmum · 11/04/2012 09:44

Hi

How do you do the cajun chicken
my favourite is eggs and ham cooked in the oven you line a muffin try with wafer thin ham and crack your egg in the middle of the ham and then cook in the oven until set. I have it with mushrooms if I am on a pv day .

lycheemartini · 11/04/2012 10:21

PP Day

Breakfast - A few cooked mini quail eggs
0% fat vanilla yoghurt

Coffee/tea/diet ginger beer through the day

Lunch - Slices of ham

Dinner - Extra lean sausages and a dab of sugar free ketchup
Jello 0% fat, 0% carb chocolate pudding (bought from ebay)

Cocoa made with skimmed milk, sweetener and green and blacks cocoa powder
Few sugar free pear drops and fruit gums!

Not sure if you're allowed the sugar-free bits and bobs but I apparently lost 2lbs yesterday, and I don't have a huge amount left to lose, 7lb absolute max. I need a little something sweet!

Key to this diet is having plenty of suitable and appealing food in!

Lindy0070 · 11/04/2012 20:36

olijackmum

Rub a little oil on the chicken breast on both sides and sprinkle some cajun spice and even some paprika on both sides then cook in a hot griddle pan. I've also done this on the George Foreman grill. Slice slits in the chicken to check cooked all the way through.

Went on a spa day today and was Ok for lunch. Had Pea soup and ham and cabbage (was nice, know it doesn't sound it!) but then got stuck later when fancied snack as only did doorstop sandwiches. So did not succumb, had diet coke instead.

Lindy0070 · 11/04/2012 20:41

Nearly 9pm and off shopping to Tesco as need to stock up on meat and veg. Is sugar free jelly OK? BTW Lidl do lush egg custards (pack 4) in foil trays, no pastry. Think they are OK (hmm)

lycheemartini · 12/04/2012 15:00

Yes to sugar free jelly.

Today I've had:

Breakfast: Oat bran porridge with skimmed milk and sweetener (splenda)
Coffee

Lunch: Chicken wings (skin removed..not the most filling meal!)
0% yogurt

Snack: Cocoa as per above my post

Dinner: Tuna fishcakes made with extra large tin of tuna (maybe 2 normal), onion softened in fry-light, tbp wholegrain mustard, 2 tbs capers, 2 tbs quark, beaten egg, rolled in oatbran. Will be frying in frylight later and serving with lemon. Hope they'll be nice!

Sugar-free jelly for pud.

I'm getting bored and hungry now though!

Lindy0070 · 13/04/2012 21:28

Menu for today:

Breakfast: Two low fat sausages and scrambled egg.

Lunch: Home made turkey meat balls (herbs and paprika to add flavour)
Muller light yoghurt

Dinner: Griddled Steak with green beans

Not feeling very peckish today. Haven't had my oat bran so may suffer tomorrow!!!
