If so what motivates you, what do you eat day to day? I only on day 3 of my diet I have 8 stone to lose which I put on in 6 years so I know I have a long way too go! I signed up for myfitnesspal I am finding it really useful especially calorie counting. I'm not one for exercising but have decided to increase the dogs walks from 30 min to a hour a day, get on the wii and I am looking at fitness dvd's. Would love too hear from anyone in the same situation as me!!

I need to lose about 5-6 stone. I have lost 1 and a quarter since New Year, so going well so far. I am doing Slimming World, which boils down to eating more veg and less fattening stuff!

Hi
I need to loose lots of weight too. It's very hard to find motivation. I gained weight over period of 7 yrs. I have to loose around 40kg,which is 6st. It's a lot but i am ready to face it. Just need to find ,as i said earlier on,motivation and it would be lovely to go through it with someone who is in similar situation.
Few years back i lost 12kg,i was on low GI diet. I faced very difficult time and i just brushed it off and gain even more weight.
I will start tomorrow. Can we share maybe meal plans and other health advice that you have.
I will study today what would be the best for me and easiest while i am at work(come home very late ) and honestly i just can not face 3 leaves of salad after all day of work.
I need to go through first 7-8 days of change in eating and than i am ok,but i always fail after 3-4 days. I don't even know when cravings stop.My downfall is eating late....it's a habit...I will be posting later on...
Good luck ladies...

Can I join too? I put on about 7 stone in about four years and went front a size 6/8 to a size 18 really. I lost two and a half stone about three years ago and did it by eating very little and exercising a heck of a lot on my own wih DVDs.

I feel so unattractive and it massively effects my self confidence and makes me miserable :( my down fall is sugar. I binge it. I enjoy exercise but am so unmotivated it's unreal. DP does the cooking and it's very healthy, so I have no excuse on that front.

I think for me it is he exercise thing. I have a dog but I have a field vey close by that I walk too and just let her off the lead! I really need to find some motivation and some sort of exercise that I can get in to and look forward to. We are getting married at the end of this year and I desperately want to have my figure back. Ideally I will have lost four stone but I've been meaning to start every day since new years and haven't Sad

whereeagles my 'worst' time is around 3pm. I can eat really well until then and after, but for about half an hour very day at that time, I crave sugar. It's not uncommon for me to eat a tub of Hagen daaz in that time, or a family size bar of chocolate Blush

Good luck ladies. I lost 60 pounds last year and always thought it would be impossible to lose weight. It really is worth it. I found having smaller goals of a half stone at a time easier than thinking of the whole amount as that seemed quite daunting.

Is that roughly three and a half stone Fluffy? how did you go about it? And well done Grin I bet you feel fabulous!

TwllBach · 27/02/2012 15:51

Right, today I have eaten porridge with a teaspoon of raspberry jam and a small chocoalte fairy cake with meringue icing Blush

My excuse is that I was testing out a new icing and seeing if I could ripple it - I want to make the cakes for my wedding reception, so surely it doesn't count if it was int eh name of research??

I have just done some pilates though, in the form of the '10 minute solution' DVD. Apparently I am on my 'way to a healthy, sexy upper body' as I just did the ten min section meant for arms.

I'm feeling energised now though, so I'm going to send the dog out for a wee, tidy up the kitchen quickly and then drag myself out for a half hour 'proper' walk with the dog!

Tonight I am having pasta with a tomato sauce I think. I promise to studiously ignore the garlic bread.

I hope you are all having successful days!
