I read the book Wheat Belly and so thought I would give up wheat to see if I would lose weight/feel better. I'm on day 4 - I have incredible bloating (I never get bloating at all) and stomach cramps. Is this normal? I have upped the oats I have been eating to compensate, think I should cut that out and see if it helps. It hasn't got rid of food cravings at all and I've put on a 1lb not lost any weight!

If it's gluten rather than wheat that causes you a problem, excess oats could make your symptoms worse...I'd really advise if you have concerns that a certain food causes health problems you consult your GP.

I thought the point of the wheat belly book was that you cut out wheat and don't replace with other grains to lose the weight? What are you eating at each meal?
