yep it's normal to gain up to half a stone. The gained weight just falls off as soon as my period starts, it's caused by water retention

shineonyoucrazydiamond · 14/02/2012 22:54

YABu that's a very personal question

theincredibequeenofwands · 14/02/2012 22:54

Yup. Stomach sticks out about four inches further for a few days.

Foxy! Hmm

rhondajean · 14/02/2012 22:55

Yep definitely, about eight pounds. Therefore the best time to start a diet is just before tee hee.

My stomach visibly swells too. Not good.

Haziedoll · 14/02/2012 22:55

Yes and a couple of inches around the waist. It's really annoying.

rhondajean · 14/02/2012 22:55

Weigh again about four days in btw.

moonface73 · 14/02/2012 23:03

Will do Rhonda, thanks.

It is so so so much worse now after second child!

Yep. I sometimes go up a whole dress size. It's not weight per se, it's bloating.

bringmesunshine2009 · 14/02/2012 23:22

I do at ovulation. Weird.

GoingForGoalWeight · 15/02/2012 00:13

Yes, i do too in non diet mode but diet mode i stay the same weight for a few days! I do not think this is a veery personal question at all! :)

theincredibequeenofwands · 15/02/2012 00:39

I also bloat badly after I've done a nightshift. Is weird.
Agreed that water retention is the most likely culprit.

SkinnedAlive · 15/02/2012 00:44

Yes, at least 4-6lb, up a dress size and all bloated. Can be counted on to happen with 100% reliability when I have a hot date. Usually accompanied by a coldsore to add insult to injury Sad

keepingupwiththejoneses · 15/02/2012 01:49

Oh yes, it can be the difference between clothes fitting or not. It's horrible. Takes me a few days after it starts for it to go but it does go.

VelcroFanjo · 15/02/2012 01:53

Yes...I also have the urge (never given in to) to exercise Grin

KatMumsnet · 15/02/2012 09:46

Hi, we've moved this into the Weight Loss Club.

MixedBerries · 15/02/2012 10:07

Why has this been moved into Weight Loss Club? It's not about losing weight!
