OMG Well I have done it!

I am doing the one in Windsor on July 12th, so I have a little while to train

wilbur · 25/01/2006 11:06

Sorry, didn't manage to weigh in yesterday, so did it this morning. Down to 11st 9.6lbs, but you'll probably have to put me on the chart as 11st 10lbs rounded up.

niccick · 25/01/2006 11:50

Hey all sorry for posting weight loss so late, but I have had a busy week. But now have two days off

Only 1 pound this week, have had a bad week and all i wanted to do was eat!!

How do you all get past those times.

Husband has been very absent leaving me to deal with everything. I am just so tired, I would love just one night off and just be me.

niccick · 25/01/2006 11:51

Oh and furball you are doing such a great job, thank you for all that you do.

CorrieDale · 25/01/2006 12:05

I'm sorry too to be late. 1 lb off this week to 11st 1/2 lb.

Furball · 25/01/2006 12:11

JenumGeranium · 25/01/2006 13:02

Thanks Furball!

tangerinecath · 25/01/2006 13:17

Thanks Furball for all your hard work in collating everybody's results and a huge well done to all you ladies that are doing so well

JARM & JG I'm sooo tempted to join you... this is insane as I'm no runner, I'm far to wobbly and flat footed... at least the neighbours would have something to laugh at

JenumGeranium · 25/01/2006 13:20

If I can do it then so can you!

I am planning on walking!

tangerinecath · 25/01/2006 13:24

Hmmm, is it really a good idea for a 15 1/2 stone tub of lard to take up running??? Not sure the local roads could take the strain... I suppose I wouldn't be a 1/2 stone tub of lard for long if I kept it up though.

Walking round is always an option though

tangerinecath · 25/01/2006 13:24

that's 15 1/2 stone, not 1/2 a stone

tangerinecath · 25/01/2006 13:47

JG have you seen the Race for Life thread?

unicorn · 25/01/2006 14:53

ok am listing my food again (after a few naughty days

am - cornflakes
lunch prawns and noodles
mid afternoon slimfast coffee drink
tonight I shall be eating smoked Haddock new potatoes and peas.

Must get back drinking lots of water it was helping.
Exercise will have to be increased - next week (honest!)
I have this dream of getting back down to 9 stone... well we can but dream can't we?!

JenumGeranium · 25/01/2006 15:37

Ooh no I havnt Tangerinecath! I will have a look!

Thanks!

figleaf · 25/01/2006 17:22

I found your well done list very motivating Furball - thankyou.

I have just got my AF. Is it true that it adds weight?? By true I mean an actual fact not just one that wed all like to be true (such eating the broken biscuits from the bottom of the tin doesnt count as extra calories ). If it is true when does this weight come and go ie could it have affected my weigh in this week.

sylvev · 25/01/2006 18:21

Good luck with the Race for life. I did it 4 years ago and it was a brilliant experience. I ran round as I was heaps fitter and slimmer then

The training is good especially if you link up with someone else. Perhaps we could all do a charity something when we lose our lard?

bubblerock · 25/01/2006 20:22

Ok, food today -

just right cereal & skimmed milk

muesli & sveltesse yogurt for lunch

ww pizza with healthy eating oven chips for dinner

Haven't really felt hungry although I haven't done any exercise either so not exactly burning calories!

Well done to those still losing - it's fantastic and good luck with training for race for life. Thank you again Furball and Figgy in advance for keeping it all going.

pindy · 25/01/2006 20:32

Hi sorry this is late been away for 2 days - lost 1lb this week, should have been more but went out to friends at the weekend for a yummy meal and haven't managed to work it all off!!!!

WILL do better next week. Honest

pindy · 25/01/2006 20:33

Going to have a big bowl of All Bran now and wait and see what that does...............

hullabaloo · 25/01/2006 20:34

Hi all! Excellent news about all those who have signed up for race for life. I reckon it's not too scary a distance to do. I will probably walk but may well try the old jogging thing!! Now I'll have chums to to keep me motivated!! I'm doing the Glasgow one in June.
As for the diet... having a bad week. Problems with the kitchen yesterday meant that my heating has broken down and since the worktops were still setting we HAD to go out (whispers..to Pizza Hut! Gas man came today but couldn't fix it so still no heating or hot water. Have been showering at mum's and sitting round a wee electric heater of my MIL's.

bubblerock · 25/01/2006 20:36

Hulla - you're going to freeze!!! Isn't it supposed to get really cold?

JenumGeranium · 25/01/2006 21:27

I have got my first sponsor (anxious emoticon)

I have been chatting to a friend who reckons she has lost 9 lbs since new year by cutting out bread!

Do you think this really works? Anyone else cutting out bread? I love my bread!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 25/01/2006 21:28

Cant cut out bread... its my once vice.

JenumGeranium · 25/01/2006 21:30

I may try it for a week! See how I get on!

I always have bread with everything!
