How much weight could I hope to lose?

I have a holiday booked for the middle of May and it might be the kick up the backside that I need to start losing the excessive weight I put on with both of my pregnancies.

Ideally, to be back at my pre baby weight I would need to lose four stone but I was wondering how much i could hope to lose by May if I cut out all bad food/exercise gently but regularly and just generally take care of myself better.

I know there's no way I'll have a bikini body or anything like that but it'd be lovely if I could drop a dress size.

Am I being too optimistic?

Any help would be appreciated.

By May from now if you didn't go too bonkers you could probably lose 1.5 - 2 stone. First stone in a month but then the rest takes longer (in my experience!). Definitely enough to drop a dress size Smile

I lost almost 4 stones of baby weight from Oct 2010 to June 2011.

If you are really strict in almost 4 months could get 2.5 stone off (ie logging everything you eat and sticking to fixed calorie goals etc).

Being less strict but not cheating too much 1.5 - 2 stone. For me 1 stone = 1 dress size, (roughly). Agree first stone in first month and then slower, although I maintained 2lbs a week until BMI in normal range.
