I have been trying to lose a stone for the last 6 months but all I seem to do is take off a few pounds and then put them back on again. I will eat healthily for a week or two and then go out or someone will bring lunch in to work and I am back to square one. What is willpower??

Anyone got any ideas for making a permanent change and when does it finally become a habit? Any tips welcome.

I once read that the decision to lose weight (and by that I mean when it clicks so a person is able to make that decision and stick to it come hell or high water) only comes when the thought of staying as you are is more uncomfortable than the pain/effort of changing.

Do you hate having that extra stone enough to want to make that change? Which is more uncomfortable for you at the moment...not wearing the clothes you want to wear or the effort of doing the work it takes to get it off?

It's certainly been true for me in the past, and I think that's why the last few pounds are always the hardest to get off.
