Anyone do couch to 5k in 2 sessions a week

I have never been able to run, even as a kid I was pretty crap!

I would love to try the couch to 5k training programme. Trouble is I can only get to the gym twice a week (I work 5 days a week, live in the middle of nowhere with roads that are to dangerous for running and haven't time in my lunch break and DH does stuff 3 - 4 nights a week)

Has anyone adapted the programme to only 2 sessions a week??

I also horse ride 3 - 4 times a week and have started doing a davina DVD at home a couple of times a week to shrink my ample bottom so this isn't my only exercise!

TIA

I have never been sporty either. I started C25K last year and was doing it every other day (Mon Weds Fri) + sometimes at the weekend too. I got a really bad injury that put me out for a couple of months. I have gone back into it, but now I'm only going twice a week and so far (touch wood!) its ok.

I think if you're not generally a sporty person then twice a week is plenty to start with, especially coupled with your other activities. Bear in mind it may not take the 9 weeks they suggest, even running 3 times a week - I repeated a run several times until I felt ready to move on, so probably only did 4 weeks of the programme in about 7 weeks of training.

When I was unable to run I really missed it so now I'm taking it really steady and just enjoying it, not trying to 'get there', but seeing it a part of my lifestyle now that I hope to continue with, well past the 5k stage. Good luck and enjoy!
