What Diets/Methods ACTUALLY work?!?

I have about 2 stone to shift. I know its not going to be easy as I have zero willpower/time/enthusiasm to exercise but fed up of being fat and frumpy! Somethings got to change!

I do eat a reasonably healthy diet ( when its not xmas of course!) and do a Zumba class once a week. I really cant see me going to any weight in's like WW or the gym though.

I have a holiday booked for June so would like to have made a dent in the weight before then so to save trying different things which things actually work.
Any success stories to share?

Come and join us on the Paul McKenna thread number 7. It does work and requires no humiliation or deprivation.

Pigley sadly most things work if the dieter sticks to them, its the sticking to them that I have always found difficult. Sad

This is C&P'd from the OP:

The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONCIOUSLY
  4. STOP when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches so forget diets, they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

Pigley it's a very simple way to lose weight and we are all lovely, supportive and friendly on the thread. Please join us and lose weight! :)

Calorie counting and exercise worked for me. Quite a lot of exercise though - 5 times a week and really going for it each time. That was so I could eat more though Grin.

Try looking on food focus or weight loss resources for figuring out how many cals you can have.

Paul McKenna is good but the listening to a CD every night and having to chew each mouthful got on my nerves. Very good way of sorting out eating issues for life though as long as you understand when you are full!
