V nosy, me Wink

I'm just starting afresh today, but in the past I've lost 18lb (to get into a healthy weight range) following the old weightwatchers points. It took 15 weeks.

I'm following myfitnesspal this time as it is simple and free Smile and am hoping for a similar result.
Currently posting daft questions on here as ready to gnaw own hand off with hunger - and I've already had tea!

I lost 3 1/2 stone in 7 months and have kept it off for almost 5 years. Have to work at it though and it grew more difficult when I gave up smoking 3 years ago. Basically I followed (and still do) the WW old points method. I keep away from foods with more than 5% fat, eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, eat very little cake or ice cream, very few biscuits or crisps (Christmas is an exception - treatsville!!) The new WW PlusPoints system does not suit me at all. The old one is much easier and you soon get to know what can be eaten in quantity and what should be avoided. Keeping the weight off means changing the way you eat permanently. I stick to my points allocation unless I have guests, I am a guest in someone else's house, it's Christmas or my birthday or if I am eating in a restaurant. I miss cheese!

I've lost 3 stone since the beginning of August. I've only just got my BMI to 24.

I did it by eating a very low carb diet, started C25K in September and I've used myfitnesspal all the way to keep me on track and I'm a stubborn cow.

I've found a low carb diet great for not feeling hungry.

I feel fitter and healthier than I have since I was 23.

Good luck with your weight loss. Myfitnesspal is great, I use the app as it scans bar codes.

I've lost 3 stone in approx a year with the Paul Mckenna way of eating you can start and stop easily which is why i'm not exactly sure how long it's taken.

Look at the thread for details; it's not an ordinary diet at all you NEVER go hungry 'cos that's what makes you fat. I combine it with the blood type way of eating for my health although you're s'posed to eat what you want. I'm still loosing although i'm quite happy with being a size 10 M&S now Smile.
Oh i also do amazing easy fat burning exercises twice a day. Those help a lot!

I've lost 5st10lbs since may 2011 doing weighwatchers. Still got a fair old way to go though.

I've lost 2 stones since July using Guardian Eatright. Found it v easy to do as it's GI, so good filling meals and no food groups omitted. Have another stone to go, but really not feeling daunted. Physically I feel fantastic - fitter, healthier and prettier (less jowlly and double-chinned)

ppeatfruit · 03/01/2012 09:02

Wow vaj amazing, well done and good luck with the rest!!! Paul mckenna is better though Grin

Jenda · 03/01/2012 10:37

QueenStromba · 03/01/2012 11:46

I've lost three stone since mid September by low carbing and calorie counting.

CrispLeCrisp · 03/01/2012 11:49

I lost 4+ stone in a year using FoodFocus and doing loads of exercise. I have to keep an eye on food and exercise constantly though in order to maintain it.

ppeatfruit · 04/01/2012 10:02

Okay jenda You can do this on your bed if you like (i do)!!

  1. Lie flat with arms by your side ( you can put them above yr head when you want to increase the difficulty!!)
  2. KEEPING YR HEAD IN LINE WITH YR SPINE you gently lift the top part of yr body (just shoulders and head).
  3. Hold for 5 seconds.
  4. Then gently release.

Do this 3 times in the morning and before you go to sleep (it helps you sleep as well as burning the fat !!!) What could be better!!!!

Also during the day whenever yr sitting at computer etc. pull in yr belly muscles slowly counting to 20.

When you're standing up washing up or whatever go up SLOWLY onto your tiptoes, feet facing front (squeezing buttocks at same time) hold for as long as you want to and slowly down.

See you on the P.M. thread !

ppeatfruit · 04/01/2012 10:05

There's more! i'll tell you on the other thread Smile

fluffy123 · 04/01/2012 11:07

I lost just over 4 stone in under 8 months, going from 13 and a half stone to 9 stone 5 pounds. For the first 3 months cut all crap such as chocolate and crisps but other than that ate normally. Then after 3 months cut portion size and most carbs. Had some bread over Christmas but still had no chocolate, biscuits , sweets , biscuits since Easter. Did no exercise for the first 5 months as this makes me hungry and messes everything up for me.

jubilee10 · 06/01/2012 18:55

I lost 2 stone between August and November at slimming world. 3 more to go!

Danceswithdragons · 07/01/2012 22:06

I lost 4 stone between April 2011 to November 2011. Low carb diet, based on the "Pig to Twig" AKA the Idiot Proof diet book. Put back a couple of pounds over Christmas, so back to strict low carbing again. Exercise = walking to school with the children, walking the dog, Wii fit.

bexsybooboo · 07/01/2012 22:52

I've lost almost 2 and a half stone in 150 days on MFP and doing regular exercise including couch 25k, still at least another 2.5 stone if not a little more to go, but loving MFP [SMILE]
