Have done it in the past and lost loads of weight. It stayed off for 2 years until I Had a baby :) You feel great on it too (once you get over the caffeine withdrawal)

I'm really excited! Do you know if it's okay to make up my juices tonight for tomorrow breakfast and to take to work??

I'm thinking of getting a juicer, which one do you have? I'm hopelessly lazy though, so would need one that involved the minimum of fruit and veg prep and is easy to clean. Any suggestions gratefully received.

catinboots- are you joining in Jason's World's Biggest Juice Detox starting next Monday? I'm thinking it will give me the kickstart I need. I have juiced before ( a couple of years ago!) for about 5 days and felt brilliant.

rosalux - my favourite juicer is my old Magimix Le Duo. It keeps spinning until you turn it off which means the pulp gets really dry. I also have the Philips Wide Chute which Jason recommends but I wouldn't buy another one as it takes up a lot of workspace and the pulp shoots straight out and therefore is still quite wet.

Yep I've signed up for the big Juice next Monday but hoping to ease myself into it from tomorrow.

I just bought the juicer recommended by Jason vale - the Phillips hr1861. It's reduced to 70 quid on amazon at the mo and it's brill x

I've got the Philips whole food one too - very easy. You can put whole apples straight down the shute. Fab.

Are you doing 7 day Juicing or the Turbo Charge? I'm doing my version Turbo Charge at the moment. Day 2 and feeling good although can't be bothered to exercise tonight!

catinboots · 03/01/2012 16:39

I'm doing 7 day 7lbs. Today is day 1. I'll start next Monday as day 1 again IYSWIM, to join the juice challenge.

Hopefully after that I'm planning on doing 14 days of turbo charge. I've downloaded the turbo charge book to my kindle but not read it yet. Do you get to eat soups and salads as well as the juice?????

Yes you can have a variety of things - fish and veg, salads, soups, wholemeal pitta, wholemeal rice. Is really good - read the reviews of the book on amazon - people are achieving fantastic results. Think I will have a juice day tomorrow - just stocked my fridge up!

catinboots · 04/01/2012 08:46

Starting day 2 today!

Last night felt a bit miserable. I was cold and the juice made me colder. Feel a bit tired and headachey this morning.

Lost 2lbs though!!

How's it going CatinBoots? I'm still sticking at Turbo Charge, feel like ive pretty much lost the Christmas weight already. Still want to do it for another few weeks though...

catinboots · 06/01/2012 12:42

On day 4.

I was freeeeezing last night though so I made vegetable soup and had that instead of the juice.

I'm about halfway through the turbo charge book and definatley want to move on to that next.

The juicing is fine - I get a bit hungry late afternoon if I din't spread my 2 daytime juices out enough. I actually thought I'd crave wine and carbs more, so It's been a pleasant suprise...

Have you signed up to next week's juice challenge??

I so fancy this. Haven't got money to buy a juicer though but I do have a blender and a citrus press in my processor. Will those work?

catinboots · 06/01/2012 13:23

Yes - but will be just a lot harder work as you have to make quite a large volume of juice.

You'll just make sure you have to peel, de-seed etc all the fruit before you blend it. Some people on another thread were recommending a juicer from Aldi or Lidl that was about £15! Might be worth a look...

Here is the link to the Jason Vale World's Biggest Juice Detox starting next Monday...........

VickityBoo · 06/01/2012 21:45

Oh £15 is good - I could look on freecycle too. Won't be able to do the big January challenge though but definitely something I'm interested in.

Good luck folks!
