I really need to lose weight, like 5st and I've been telling myself I can do it on my own but I really can't.

I tried the gym, I got a 6 week pass and the first 2 weeks was great but then it all went wrong, I got a cold, ds (18 months) wouldn't sleep, getting up at 6 am was killing me...etc etc you know the drill.

I don't want to spend money on an expensive gym membership I won't used and I wondered if the shame of having someone else weigh me would help?

Me and DH want to start thinking about baby no 2 but I don't even want to go there until I've lost a fair amount. I was this heavy with DS and although I was lucky and didn't have any problems, it wasn't easy.

I guess I'm looking for other peoples success stories and even a bit of hand holding?

I used to go at least twice a week, really really helped as the exersize is great, there was a big range of sizes there so I didn't feel the biggest! there was the proper weigh-in and talk then aerobics at the ones I went to, now I see there are zumba, salsa, bootcamp style, pilates... all sorts! I wish I culd go now but sadly the weekend one I went to closed down and my new job finishes too late for weekday classes. I'm still trying to follow the diet but I really miss the classes. I lost about a stone by myself before I heard of the classes then lost 3 stone during the time I was going. I only stopped when I moved abroad! I really recomend it.

Thanks scarf, it's good to know someone's had a positive experience.
