Any other GI dieters out there?

It's taken nearly ten years and four children but I have slowly crept back to the weight I was before I lost nearly four stone in 2002. I really need to focus on the impact this is having on my health. Bad back, occasional wheezing after exercise, and pretty unfit. I have a real problem with overeating (a buffet sends me into automatic pilot!) and need to eat in a way that is healthy, and keeps me full all day. I like the GI way of eating because it's recommended by dietitians, it's very sensible and healthy, and it means I can cook and bake to satisfy any urges for sweet stuff.
So, as much willpower as I can muster, a copy of Rick Gallop's book, and motivation aplenty. I know it's a cliché to start a diet after Christmas, but now is as good a time as any.

Anyone want to join me?
