I never have any motivation, I don't know what to do about it. I get fatter and fatter and I feel horrible about it, but I just can't stick to a diet/exercise. Nothing. Never!

But I want to, I really do. :( what can I do to make myself motivated and see it through?

Well do not start today!!

Put a photo of yourself on the fridge in January and have a goal to work towards ie a holiday in July or a spa weekend with a friend.

Eat less, move more.

You can do it. You can do it. You can do it. Have you tried slimming world? I have been overweight for 40 years and tried everything and failed. I have just lost 2 stone with slimming world and whilst I would be lying if I said it was easy, it is very doable. I have 4 stone more to lose -and I will. So can you. Go to the shops on Tuesday and buy the magazine, have a look and find your nearest meeting. Post me at the end of the month to let me know how you are getting on. Merry Christmas - this is the first day of the rest of your life. Bossy - not me.

You have to be in the right mindset to start. Walking was what did it for me, as well as eating the right stuff. 3 miles a day-only takes 45 minutes. Good luck.

both your suggestions sound doable. i'll try it tomorrow...I hope I'll actually do it.

Have a look at the Paul mckenna thread 'cos it's not a diet as such; it changes yr, physical and mental attitude to food. I've lost nearly 3 stone on it and it's easy to maintain and as jubilee says you CAN do it !!

Also we really support each other on our thread ;see you there eandz?

Second Paul McKenna as it teaches you how to eat correctly.
