Anyone else? DS2 is 8 weeks and I want to be down to my pre pregnancy weight by Christmas, so have about 10lb to lose. Will work on getting to my pre DS1 pregnancy after Christmas (a lose the weight I inevitably put on over the festive face-stuffing period!)

I'm aiming for 1500-1700 calories a day, didn't want to go too low as DS2 is a big eater. Can't do much in the way of exercise except walking until Ds2's feeds are a bit more predictable.

Does that sound reasonable? Would at least like to get out of maternity jeans!

Don't forget your boobs will weigh more if you're still breast feeding and your body shape will be different post birth anyway...why is the exact weight so important to you at this moment? Gentle exercise to tone your tummy and pelvic area (pilates?? yoga???) would seem to be a better way to regain your shape than dieting which may affect your milk production and vitamin/mineral stores that you need to nourish you and your child. IMO you should Aim to feel beautiful and womanly and find your figure rather than focus on weight loss at this point.

Want to get to pre pregnancy weight because I have barely any clothes that fit me and would like to get into my old clothes. It isn't a particularly important goal, just a goal.

Don't have much time for exercise, like i said in op DS2 feeds a lot so can only really do exercise that I can do with DCs as any spare time away from kids is spent doing housework etc. That's why dieting is currently the best option.

As for vitamin and mineral stores I'm not worried as I eat a very balanced diet and will be retracting calories by reducing the quantities not the variety, will still get 5 a day etc

I just mention again that being the same weight might not get you to be the same shape........or therefore to fit into the same clothes............best wishes to you.

I feel the same as you. DD2 is 8 weeks old. I weighed 56Kg pre DD1 and 61 pre DD2. Now sat at 66Kg. Exercise suggestions are useless as i can't take DD's to classes or the gym. Also aiming to get to pre DD2 weight before xmas.
I'm trying the harecombe diet as it doesn't limit calories. Only on day 4 but after feeling dreadful for 2 days now feel good and possibly lighter. Will keep you posted on the weight loss. The first phase has no milk, potatoes, fruit or pulses. We are eating mostly fish, beef, chicken and veggies. There is a rice allowance of 50g brown each day too.
I'm a little nervous about diets with reducing calories as i had problems BF DD1 due to poor supply.
In terms of supplements i am taking vitamin d and calcium as its the winter and BF no 2 will put a drain on the bones.
I have ordered some DVD exercise videos as an early xmas pressie. I think my 19mo will wonder what on earth i am doing!!!
