Green Tea Diet - Does it work??

Ok so I have a bit of weight to lose and have heard that drinking green tea is supposed to help because it can speed up your metabolism and suppress your appetite. Has anyone tried it? Does it work? Are any particular brands of green tea good?

Yes actually I've noticed that it can help (I usually drink it with a nettle which also speeds up yr metabolism and mint for flavour teabag) no milk or sweetener. i would always go for the best organic (Waitrose sell them cheaply).

I've started drinking it again this week and have lost 4.5 pounds but then I've also been eating just protein during the day (eggs, chicken, ham etc) with no starchy food at dinner so I don't know how much can be attributed to each.

Ok that sounds like good news, 4.5 pounds definately sounds like a result. I've gone and bought myself a box of twinnings natural green tea so fingers crossed that will help speed things along.
