Me Me Me. I weighed myself yesterday and I am the heaviest I have ever been. I feel so sluggish and I really need to sort myself out. Having eaten to much rubbish over christmas and drunk far too much something has seriously got to be done.
DM bought me a lovely jumper for christmas which fit me great but when I looked at the label I nearly died. She never even asked me what size I was in - just went and bought it.
I need to get out and exercise too. Have been in the house far too much over xmas with the central heating on - I feel really tired and have no energy at all.
Look out for the new me!!!!

I followed the slimming world plan in 2004 and it worked really well for me. Almost lost 2 stone. Then christmas came and I never really got back on track. So most of 2005 has been spent piling it all back on again and probably more.
Something needs to be done. I don't want to feel like a framp in the summer.

YG - you were on the SW thread the same time as me weren't you? As I recall you had done really well. I still feel really bad about that joke I played with regards to my photo in the magazine. LOL.

Well I'd like to get back into some of the new clothes I bought. So a couple of stone would be great - another couple on top of that would be fab. But that's a long way of yet. Shall do it gradually.
Yes we will do it!!

Sparkler, it works so well - stick at it this time. I am still full of enthusiasm as I have another stone to go. When we are both slim again, we can hit the Bumbles dance floor and knock 'em dead!

Hello! I will be re-joining too. I'm only 9 weeks pg and have already put on nearly 1st! This time around I want a smart designer bump, not to look as though I have swallowed a sofa. Going to wait until I have had nuchal scan & other tests though. I have interviewed loads of successful SW slimmers and loads of people join and rejoin. You just have to be sure that this time you really want to do it (easier said than done when everyone else is eating chips/chocs/cakes)

ooooh lots of us to give each other encouragement. I DEFFO want to do it. Thought about it a couple of months back but my heart wasn't in it. It is this time.

Hi Christie, happy new year to you too! And everyone else.
That's it now, new year's resolution, not to feed the bump any more sugar! Away with you, Quality Street! Go make someone else fat

You sound like me, Sparkler. During a 6 month period running up to Christmas last year I lost over 2 stone and felt great. Then the weight loss company I was dieting with went bust before they had given me the rest of the diet plan (the bit which showed you how to reintroduce lots of foods and how to maintain the loss), and, over the last year, it's all piled back on again.

I can't get to my local slimming world group because of dh not getting home in time and children's activities, but a friend goes regularly. So we've decided that on Wednesdays she will weigh me (to keep me on track) and give me any tips etc that she picks up at the meetings.

Any tips posted here would be welcome too.

Me. I think I need to try a different group though, any recommendations Sparkler & Bunny ? I REALLY want to shift a decent amount of weight this year as it's Year 3 of my very scenic route to being slim. Year 1 I lost a stone, Year 2 I've lost 1.5 stone, so I need to get a move on or I will be doing this in 2010 at this rate !

whimsy · 01/01/2006 10:44

I will be re-joining too. I only went for 4 weeks then the christmas celebrations started
I found it was deffo working for me, so I'm going back on wednesday

Simplyred · 01/01/2006 12:25

Back to slimmers world on Tuesday! - gained 2 stones having ds (kept losing most of this then gaining it again!) and now have gained another stone having dd!!! - need to lose 2 and a half stones - want to do this by early May - and be slimmer by the time dd is walking - or I'll never keep up!!!

SPARKLER1 · 02/01/2006 18:01

So how is everyone getting on? I will admit to not following the plan as yet. Haven't been able to go shopping for all the right stuff as yet. Awaiting dh's pay day. My slimming world group is on Monday evenings so I shall be rejoining the group next week.
We have so many temptations in the house left from christmas and it's not helping. I have induged in these naughty things but not as much as I would normally.
