Really want to lose weight and tone up, help needed

I am a size 12 (veering towards a 14) and weigh 10 and 3/4 stones.
My clothes feel tight and I really cannot afford to go into a 14 as only recently gone into a 12 and had to buy a whole new wardrobe (bit by bit of course as not loaded at all).
I would really appreciate any tips really on what to eat. Was thinking of maybe buying the weightwatcher frozen meals and having muesli for breakfast and soup for lunch, snacking on fruit and trying to cut down on the booze I drink.

I really want to tone up my stomach, bum and thighs but hate the gym!

I am adamament that I want to lose 1/2 a stone and to tone up. How long do you think it would take to lose 1/2 a stone.

Thanks

I am a size 12...weighed in this morning at 10st 7.5lb!!! Put on about 3-4 lb over xmas but was trying to lose weight before that.
Did the Flora light run in September '04 and got back down to 9.5 stone. The lightest I've been since having the kiddies.

I will be watching this thread with great interest BH!

BTW, how tall are you?

Blossomgoodwill · 29/12/2005 19:30

eat as normal, but excercies. ditch the car and walk everywhere. it might take longer, but you will notice a difference within a week. i promise.

I am only a titch compared to you - 5'5".

I feel I suffer on the school holidays as during term time I do 3 runs backwards and forwards to school /nursery.

Things have been hectic here BH. My mum's dialysis line failed a few weeks ago and she was rushed in to King's for an emergency op. Things are calmer now, all ready for the fight for Amelia's statement when she goes back in Jan. At least the school are begind me, it's just the LEA that needs persuading!

Getting back to your thread, I don't feel the need to "diet" as such, just eat healthier and try to find time to actually exercise those areas that need attention! Long gone are the days I had a 22" waist! My thighs are probably more like that now!

I fancy trying Yoga or Pilates...might help my stress levels too!

In terms of toning up BH I would recommend a short video or dvd (15mins) such as "I want that body" by tamilee webb or you can get ones for each section of the body e.g. "I want those abs" but that will take longer. Do the video 2-3 times a week, you get a lot of difference quite quickly - you just have to stick it for the first few sessions which will be hard.
