The reasons I am fat and barriers to me being thin.

  1. I work crap shifts. Late, Early, Nights.
  1. During said shifts I frequently eat nothing at all, then I am hungry and eat loads at strange times.
  1. I can't cook, DH cooks so I eat whatever he puts in front of me.
  1. I like carbs, I like pasta and bread. And toast is quick and easy at the end of previously mentioned shifts and starvation.
  1. I also like butter
  1. And I am addicted to cheese.
  1. I have no sense of when I have had enough and will eat until there is none left.
  1. I hurt most of the time so exercise is difficult, despite this I go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week.
  1. I am greedy and lazy. I like eating and I don't like moving.
  1. I need to shed about 5 stone to improve the painful back, the irritable bowel and the fucked up hormones.

(3) is rubbish, (9) is probably true.

I overeat for comfort. I enjoy the instant gratification. I'm small and can't get away with eating anything other than my 3 meals a day and my portion sizes are too big. I exercise by cycling but that's not enough on its own, I need to do some toning exercise too.

I'm fat because I eat too much of the wrong kind of food. I do exercise a lot - but I'd probably have to run the equivalent of a marathon every couple of days to use up what I consume..

Why do I eat too much? Stress, tiredness, lack of organisation, comfort. But not hunger.
