Anyone doing WW while breastfeeding?

I started officially today and already am bored with watching what I eat after nearly a year of having whatever I fancy!

DS2 is 12 weeks old and I'm still wearing my maternity jeans so have started old style Weightwatchers, I can't believe that I will actually lose any weight though with the huge amount of points that I am allowed - 32 [hshock]

Plus the battery in my scales has gone so I have to guess how much I weigh after weighing myself at my sisters last week which isn't a good start really.

Anyone else starting WW?

I had a huge number of points available to me while I was BFing and WWing. Still lost a couple of lbs each week though. Just cut the points down a little when you are no longer exclusively BFing.

I would recommend a trip to your local shops for some new batteries, and would you consider going to a WW meeting? You dont sound all that motivated, and I found the meetings the only thing to keep me going.

Good luck! Smile

How many more points do they give you for exclusive breast feeding under the new plan. I can't get to a meeting till next week and it doesn't tell you on the e-source thing.

Actually just getting into it gradually as baby is only a month old....but I want to feel like I'm taking mini steps in the right direction.

OP I 2nd what Hippo said. Get to a meeting and get motivated. However I totally understand. I planned to cut down yesterday but things went pear shaped in the evening. However I'm looking at the positives - I did record everything I ate (which is the thing that helps me lose weight the most) and I did cut down in the early part of the day. So It is a good first step. Today I will do better.

Wiseoldself - my first aim is to lose 7 pounds or more by Christmas. I think that is an achievable target while breast feeding and everything. We could try and motivate each other.

Starting weight 16.10 (shame) 5.6 tall.

Really put on so much weight with my two children. Not going to have any more so now is the time to get my old self back. I don't mind if it takes two or three years - as long as I get back to where I was (and maybe a bit more as I have never been a skinny minny).

Baby waking so must dash.

Elderberries, are you me? Actually you can't be, your baby is asleep.
I have lost 9lb in the last 19 days, BFing, not doing WW but logging on my fitness pal, and lots of exercise. I want another stone off by Christmas.

How are you getting on after the weekend?

I'm part bf, DS now 7mo. I lost about 10lbs on ww but stopped and just started up again 2 weeks ago. Join us on the new mum thread? :)
