and it's winking at me from the coffee table. I only have plimsolls so I need to get some proper trainers I think. But I am on a very very low budget: any advice on where to get some which will still provide me with sufficient protection/support
I am a size 4 so I can feasibly get children's shoes (eg teenage boys').
Any advice appreciated!!

Loads of sales on ATM just go and have a look around in your local shops. You can't buy online as need to try on. Running trainers would be best as well cushioned.

Great, I've been trawling the sales online and making a short list: I'll focus on running trainers now ...

try sports direct.com (also on the high street)

Thanks Joby do you think that these might be good enough: super-cheap which makes me wonder ... www.sportsdirect.com/donnay-arizona-ladies-271118

they should be ok for the shred - try them on in the shop & do some high knees & but kicks - you'll know then how they feel on your feet when you land on them.

Joby I went slightly mad and got some Nike Shox: with that kind of investment I have to keep up with the routine! I now have springs on my feet! thanks

Make sure you have a decent medium/high-support sports bra too. The cardio circuits involve jumping around quite a bit.
