It might not sound like a proper challenge to you committed types, but starting tomorrow, I'll be religiously following my new gym programme and watching the WWPPs, in an attempt to kick-start some weight loss and toning, hopefully also helping with TTC number 2. I could really do with someone to report back to, to make myself a bit more accountable, so if anyone would be willing to come and bark orders give me some gentle encouragement, I'd appreciate it. If anyone wants to join in, this is what I'm aiming to do over the next eight weeks:

Monday: 1hr gym session
Tuesday: 1hr 15min spin class
Weds: rest
Thurs: 45min spin class (and maybe a bit extra in the gym)
Fri: 1hr gym session*
Sat: 45min gym class, Zumba*
Sun: run, building from 30mins up to 45+

  • one or the other of these, depending on whose turn it is to take DD swimming on the Saturday!

I'll be aiming for 29 PPs a day, leaving the 49 extras for special occasions / chocolate or wine emergencies / the occasional treat day. I'm currently about 10st 9 after this weekend of pigging out Blush I want to lose the 9lbs in this first 8 weeks and reduce my waist (33") and hip (41") measurements too.

So, I'm starting tomorrow and my target is to stick to the plan until 18th July, when it'll be reviewed. I do have 3 weeks of exam marking which may mean I have no choice but to miss the occasional session to meet a deadline, but I still aim for at least 4 workouts for those weeks. Please cheer me on!

Good luck with your plan. I hope that it goes well!! I look forward to reading your progress.

Thanks for being interested, w2s. I won't be offended if you get bored Grin

Well today I did my gym workout which was a good balance between achievable and challenging. Helped that I had time for a jacuzzi afterwards!

Food-wise, I've been ok, but have used 7 of the extra weekly points. I need plenty for eating out with friends at the weekend, so must do better!

I like the idea of MFP, but reckon if I signed up I'd be spending waaaaaay too much time online. Do you have DVDs? Davina's is good, Nell M fab, Shred hideous I think!
