Hi
A little background for you, for the past 5 years (well after dd3) have constantly been on some diet or other. Am kinda good during the week & then blow it at the weekends. Recently not even been able to have a good Monday to Friday due to various pressures (DH diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago, long story).
BUT now clothes too tight, constantly feelin crap etc. So Monday am going to try really hard. Have done a special shop & am roughly going to follow Davina's detox.
Would really love some like minded mumsnetters so we can keep each other on track & motivated - any takers??>?

rolo glad you understand my name lol

mumpotnoodle had banana, salad and cheese sandwich, some pasta, banana, apple.

Zumba was fab, but am all wheezey now :( Really gutted as not wheezed like this after exercise before.

MumPotNoodle · 17/05/2011 08:18

Giraffes, was it first time at zumba? How you feeling now?

Went to bed a little hungry last night but still motivated. Will weigh in again tomorrow for the official scroll Smile.

AngryFeet · 17/05/2011 12:59

Tried my first M&S Fuller for Longer meal today - beef stroganoff with rice, beans and brocolli. Bloody delicious and only 400 cals :)

rologoingsolo · 17/05/2011 14:52

MumPot lol my tummy was rumbling last night before bed too but it did feel good to wakeup in the morning knowing I hadn't caved in!
Giraffes I did zumba a while ago & loved it - it's meant to burn up loads of calories. Unfortunately I now work when the class is on Sad. But I did go for a run this morning & still feel knackered now!!
Frazzle is there a maximum length of time you can stay doing the 4 hour body?

Happygomummy · 17/05/2011 17:57

Well I've had garlic bread and chocolate today. And I had wine last night.

I am so rubbish at dieting.

Are we all stating actual weights tomorrow, or just how much we've gained lost?

MumPotNoodle · 17/05/2011 18:51

Happygo, I'm struggling now....been good all day but really want wine Grin.

Happygomummy · 17/05/2011 19:11

Oooh wine would be just sooooo good. Currently putting my boys down; 3 yr old reasonably compliant but 22 month old trying it on. I'm so ready to sink into a vat of red.

rologoingsolo · 17/05/2011 19:18

Happy & MumPot afraid have given into the wine, am still being 100% with what I eat though & am snacking on carrots!! Hope it doesn't sway tomorrow's weighin too much

OP posts:
MumPotNoodle · 17/05/2011 19:30

I have resisted so far....if I can get to about 8.30 will be fine haha. Am weighing in tomorrow but then out tomorrow evening so wil def have wine then Blush but that leaves me another week to be good Grin.

frazzledblob · 17/05/2011 20:19

I'm just about to pour myself a glass of wine (not bragging honest Grin )
I am having really bad sugar cravings tonight, think its due to it being that time of the month.

May end up giving in to the temptation of DC's birthday cake tomorrow so I am trying to be good tonight.

I will be staying with the 4 hour body until I am thin! God knows how many bags of lentils that is going to take though!

Another good tip I have seen with this diet is to make a list of all the things you have been craving in the week and then go wild with them on the cheat day.

Happygomummy · 17/05/2011 20:22

Now, "cheat day" , tell me more....... I think I like the sound of that......!

frazzledblob · 17/05/2011 20:37

link to 4hour body forum

what I found strange was that I was looking forward to cheat day all week and then on the actual day I was'nt fussed with huge amounts of chocolate and actually wanted lentils.

giraffesCantDanceWiOotBuckie · 18/05/2011 05:44

Done umba before, also wheezing after gym last night so not zumba alone related.

How are we all today?

I have woken up all sore. (throat an ears) almost a month until my op then hopefully be better.

Happygomummy · 18/05/2011 07:37

Ok, today's the day. Are we just posting change as opposed to actual weight?

Well, I'll get ball rolling, gone from 12.2 to 11.13 1/4. So have somehow managed to lose nearly 3lb despite several rule-breaks.

Lots more to go but I'm happy for now.

MumPotNoodle · 18/05/2011 07:47

Happy birthday to Frazzled's DCs Smile.

Giraffes...think you need a holiday rather than a diet...all that exercise plus seen the time of your post this morning Confused.

Happygo...well done on 3lb, you have very acurate scales. I'm waiting for Boots to open for my ritual public humiliation Grin.

Boo81 · 18/05/2011 09:48

Morning all!

Ok...here it goes...the scales say.....13st 6lbs :(

My aim is to be 3lbs lighter this time next week.

I too succumed to the dreaded red wine last night! Although it was only a small glass and I was still within my calories. I am going to some kind of post natal exercise and nutrition class today so hoping they will tell me something, anything to help shift this weight!!

AngryFeet · 18/05/2011 12:20

Hey everyone, I am weighing in at 12st 12.5lbs. Looking to get down to 9 stone as I am only 5ft 3 so am currently obese.

Have a good first week :)

MumPotNoodle · 18/05/2011 15:27

Hi everyone, weighed in this morning at 10.10 (was 10.13 on Monday) Grin. Had a relatively good day but out with a friend tonight, must stick to small glasses of wine Smile.

rologoingsolo · 18/05/2011 19:50

Hi all, well I'm in the throws of PMT today so just want to EAT!!!
I weighed in at 11 6 & want to be a nice 10! Yes my aim is also 3 lbs for next week.
Well done Happy with your 3lbs!
Giraffes hope you're ok & get better in plenty of time for your op.
Enjoy your night out MumPot & thanks for the link frazzled, am off to have a look now!

Morning all, how's everyone doing?

Something strange has happened.....I have made it through a "diet week" Grin. Been feeling a little light headed and feeling a little worried about blowing it over the weekend, but I have never, ever done a whole week Grin.

rologoingsolo · 20/05/2011 17:21

Well done MumPot, that's fantastic! How's every-one else done?
I've not been too bad but have done a lot of running, have also been feeling starving though!!
Let's hope we make it through the weekend!!

frazzledblob · 20/05/2011 19:55

Well done Noodle, thanks for the bday wishes, we all had a lovely time and I did have some cake.

I did not get chance to weigh again on weds so will wait until after the weekend. I can feel a difference and I never feel hungry so I am happy to just go with it at the moment.

cheat day has started already as I am feeling rubbish due to having a cold and coming to the end of my period Blush

Aims for the coming week: drink more water & do some exercise

Rolo - running sounds fab but hunger is not so good. Can you up your protein intake or do you need the carbs for the exercise? This has worked wonders for me, especially in the morning. I make sure I eat plenty of protein at breakfast and try to eat it within 30mins of getting up.

MumPotNoodle · 22/05/2011 07:22

Frazzled, glad the birthdays went well. Like your idea of having a weekly aim.....I'm not too bad with drinking water but don't do any structured exercise, something I hope to sort out in half term though Grin.

Well done on the jogging rolo.

How's everyone else doing?

MumPotNoodle · 23/05/2011 09:26

I know the official weigh in is Wednesday but I started my diet last Moday and I JUST HAVE TO SHARE.........

  • 5lbs GrinGrinGrin

I am now .3 off being in ideal weight BMI range and 2lbs off acceptable top weight for my height GrinGrinGrin.

rologoingsolo · 23/05/2011 11:07

Welldone MumPot what a result!!!! Keep it up x
