well not literally him, but his I Can Make You Thin book. I got the one with the free cd and dvd - feel a bit cheated it's one of 5 but hey ho. Is it worth getting the other four cds?

I haven't watched the dvd yet, but are they worth the money?

I quite like the relaxation aspect of the cd, but I've been doing it at bedtime. Is that wrong? I ask because I have fallen asleep a couple of times only to be woken up at the end. Does that matter?

When lying down listening to the cd... do I have to lie on my back? I find it a bit uncomfortable, I've got a dodgy back and find it much more comfortable to lie on my side. Is that ok?

Also, I get the giggles quite badly when his voice goes all slow and deep. I also can't get out of my head how pervy he sounds. Do I need to try harder to concentrate? My mind wanders so much when I'm listening, is that going to ruin it? I'm also constantly fidgeting, I'm not much of a relaxer so is it just down to my discipline I need to work on?

Oh (last one, I promise!_ I'm reading the book but I started MFP a couple of weeks ago and I'm sticking to a calorie controlled diet for a bit to kick start some weight loss while I finish the book. I thought I'd then start the journal and see how things go. Will my calorie counting while I'm reading the book ruin things?

TIA

I have used Paul McKenna as motivation whilst logging what I eat on MFP. I am also mindful of the only eat when hungry and stop when full approach. I probably only listened a couple of times a week though. I have the old book which just came with one CD.... I plan to ditch the MFP soon as am at target weight but am too much of control freak to stop weighig everything.

Hi headfairy - come and join us on the Paul McKenna thread. We're lovely.....

The other four CDs are not neccessary but they are quite good. Some of us use them, some don't. They are a bit less pervy sounding too! If you listen when falling asleep, you may find you fidget less? Some people don't listen at all and still find that it works.

I overlapped SW with Paul McKenna and in the end gave up SW as I wanted to permanently repair my relationship with food rather then just temporarily lose weight. I think you just need to do whatever works for you. When I am doing Paul McKenna I eat under 1500 calories a day naturally.

I dont really think you can do PM with any sort of controlled diet (unless its amedical issue) as it goes against one of the 4 rules. Join us on our thread though, there is a lot of information & advice in there :)
