I took on exercise c5k, gym memberships, etc and I'm not losing any weight. I'm feeling desperate and depressed. Can you recommand me a good diet or offer a shoulder to cry ?

I have stopped smoking 2 weeks ago same as wine, I'm tee total !

but have you cut back on eating - sadly weight loss is 90% food and only the rest exercise- use MFP to track what you are eating daily - I have just started and it has made me realise why my giving wine and C25K has had no impact on my ass - you have my shoulder to cry on -- I am where you are!!

Thanks zzmum, I cut back on food but I'm constantly starving ! I'm going to do my fitness pal too. I hope there is hope at the end, I have 2 stones and a half to lose Sad

hey me too - well actually have a lb over that now as I seem to have gained weight recently! The MFP is really good - join me on it and I hope we can get threre together - I am on week 4 of C25K but am sure dragging my ass is slowing me down so I really want to focus on food - there is a good thread I suggest you join and read up on some of the inspirational people there - foreeveronadiet is a good person to read about ....

As for the starving bit, I really find dropping carbs and upping protein works - I try to have protein every 4 hours and i have definitely seen a drop in the "starving" feelings...

Good luck!!

mfp thread

There is also a "need to lose 2 stones using C25K" thread I joined but I failed on the training .. must try harder!

You never have to feel hungry on slimming world as you can fill up on the "free foods"

I lost 3 stone in 6months with slimming world, never attended a class just bought the books from ebay and did it myself at home, it really works!!

confusedandsilly · 10/05/2011 10:31

Thank you zzmum !!! Would they let me join easily ?

oh of course you can join- I meant I failed to keep on the training programme and so could not contribute to the thread!

I am now back on programme having had a major realisation that this weight is not going to drop off without some signifncant changes bith diet and exercise wise.. the MFP has been major part of that so I would really recommend you join ASAP!

Reading the threads, I have decided to stick to the calories total but try to "spend" it on protein and veg/fruit - trying to leave out bread, pasta etc .. this seems to work helping me stay full - eggs for breakfast has an amazing way of filling me up all morning and I do not even think about food..

Try to do 30 mins exercise a day but not "eat" them - this just gives me a bit of leeway with the daily food - am also giving up wine until I hit target - the odd vodka seems OK as a treat...
