headaches when losing weight

I've just started WeightWatchers and am getting annoying headaches.

I did WW a few years ago, and remember the headaches then as well. I think it was just in the early days, and at the time I put it down to drinking less caffeine. This time round I've not cut out caffeine, but am still getting the headaches.

Anyone know what causes this, or have any remedies (apart from eating carbs, which is what my body is telling me to do!) I know I'm eating enough as I'm sticking to my points and not cutting back too much.

PS - I would love to hear that the headaches are a sure sign that I'm getting slimmer - some sciencey explanation like 'this is caused by your body breaking down fat' would really help Grin

I got these on WW too. I think it was sugar withdrawal!

Have you increased you water intake? I used to get headaches when dieting as I would cut out caffeine and not drink anything else in its place. I now drink plenty of water and teh headaches have gone.

I agree, it might be the lack of easter eggs!

I have been drinking lots of water as that was my first thought too.

Have you been having any 'diet' foods like shape yoghurts or diet coke? That kind of thing gives me a massive headache.

No, no diet products - I don't really like the taste of artificial sweeteners.

sugar withdrawal or caffine withdrawal - also drink more water
