Can anyone recommend me a treadmill?

Needs to be suitable for small/medium sized person (me) and medium sized person (DP). We want to train for a long distance run next year and need to have a treadmill at home owing to lack of childcare and weird working hours for gym and street running.

Although both of us are in the normal-ish weight range (though I have baby weight to lose), would need the treadmill to be suitable for a person up to about 18 stone, as BIL may wish to use it (and don't want to face the embarrassing 'no' conversation!).

Any recommendations would be great! TIA!

I really admire your commitment. I could never, never do that and I'm sure you'll live longer than me. Hey good on your BIL though.

In my opinion Technogym has the best ones. They don't shake, the belt is good and feels natural. Not noisy and easy to use.

Ooh thank you both! Will check out Technogym. :)

technogym and lifefitness are both good. pricey but worth it

I have lifefitness. It's the make favoured by most gyms (certainly at David Lloyd when i was a member, and I noticed it in Salisbury Leisure centre when I walked past the gym the other day). Piqued by curiousity I just looked at technogym treadmills and found the technogym 700 referenced most frequently - at circa £2500 cheaper than my Lifefitness treadmill (I think from memory it was £4.5K). You do tend to get what you pay for...

I'll get me coat.
