Brown toast with butter and jam x2 slices

Packet mini Jaffa cakes

Cheese pasta layered salad from tesco

5 x chocolate biscuits

Gammon with a fried egg on top with 3 new pots and peas

How many calories fo you think that is?

I'm 13 stone 8, 5ft 7 - but since having dd2 I've not lost a pound. Even though in breast feeding - and I'm active, done lots of cleaning today, scrubbing / hoovering stairs etc and walked the dog.

Brown toast with butter and jam - brown bread goodish but not a good long lasting start to the day, hence mini jaffa cakes
Cheese pasta - fat
5 chocolate biscuits - did you need 5 or would 1 have done?
Gammon - quite a fatty meat? fried egg - could you have poached it?

I would say quite a few tbh, perhaps you could have done a feta cheese salad with lots of toms and cucumber

I have been massively unlucky and breast feeding has not helped me lose weight - I am so jealous of others!

If you fancy it come and join us on MyFitnessPal we log calories etc, we are a friendly bunch all around your weight or a bit more/less and all really encouraging. Lets put it this way since joining I have lost 8lbs.

Lol the 5 biscuits were spaced out through the afternoon - and I cut the fat off my gammon.

I miss being 8 stone.

Seriously come and join us we are a nice bunch Grin AND it really has made me look at my eating habits, I discovered that I have eaten in one meal what I now eat in a whole day Blush. It helps with portion control etc and we can always help with nutritious snacks.

Have to say have revolutionised my breakfast with eggs/ rye bread (the thick german heavy style - yum) smoked salmon (when on offer Wink), lots of protein and far less carbs, where possible. I thought I might do the Dukan diet but am still bf so didn't want to restrict myself like that. how old is your little one?

OnlyWantsOne · 06/05/2011 22:00

She's 22 weeks now - I shall cone over and say hi. Nervous though.

It's probably just over 2000, depending on portions and brands... which isn't massively high, but usually a little too many to loose weight for a woman. The types of foods aren't that great for you either as they tend to be high in sugar or fat. This doesn't sustain you as well as less processed foods and tends to make you crave more sugar.

DontCallMeBaby · 07/05/2011 15:50

Smash09 is good - MyFitnessPal reckons 2,062 calories (with a few random guesses eg as to your preferred variety of chocolate biscuit).

Cut out the mini Jaffa Cakes and chocolate biscuits and you'd be down in to the sort of calorie count you could lose weight with.

You don't mention drinks - on the one hand keeping hydrated if obviously good for you, and water will fill you up and help you eat less, but on the other many drinks are empty calories.

Now I need to delete your day's food from my MyFitnessPal and add my greasy spoon breakfast ... Blush

only very high in carbs but probably not a huge calorie intake.

I didn't loose weight when BFing either but ate too many ice creams (magnums!) esp BOGOF.

I had to diet to loose weight though after I stopped feeding.
