hi can anyone help me have lost a stone on my own but need extra help and don't know which to join! Can somone explain slimming world to me please! I understand ww propoints but slimming world meetings would be easier for me to access. Basically which is easist to fit into family life as have 3 kids and a dh who is always hungry and super fit and slim! I am sick of cooking different meals! Thankyou

I have always found ww to be more do-able, but more expensive, but haven't been for a while. Could not explain the current slimming world system as its years since I've done it. Sure someone will be along soon who knows more recently...

I have done both and both have worked. I did WW before children and it was easy. I now do SW and have lost 1 stone 8lbs since September. After the first week I have found it easy to follow using their extra easy plan. As much fruit as you can eat which really suits me. You need to follow the plan 100% but it does work. You also need a good leader!

Currently doing SW extra easy, not familiar with their other plans.

The plan is based on free foods, which you can eat in any quantity, and superfree foods wich must make up at least a third of your meal.

This translates as one third fruit or veg and the rest lean meats, potatoes rice or pasta cooked without fat, or cooked with fry lite.

The less healthy foods are controlled and counted as syns, you are allowed around 15 syns a day.

Gravy and sauces are high in syns, I found these were the things I needed to reduce.

I like SW as you can alway eat if you are hungry, when you work out new recipies that fit the plan you can eat well.

I have lost 22 lbs in 12 weeks, I do not lose weight easily.

You can still do red and green days on slimming world, as well as extra easy.

I find SW really easy to fit into family meals, most recipes can be adapted, and everyone benefits from low fat meals cooked from scratch with lots of fruit and veg.

I personally found I "spent" lots of WW points on junk, but that was on the old plan, I know nothing about pro points.

I was just wondering the same thing really. I have quite a large amount of weight to lose and was wondering if the group meetings really help.

I also wanted to know which is best to fit into family life and which is cheapest.
