I find it so hard as a full time working and single parent to lose weight. I have started to do a fitness video which I try and do in the evening when my DS is asleep but I need to do cardio , run or gym during the day when I have get up and go and energy, but there's no one to get my son from school or it's just so hard hard hard - anyone understand??

Try the 30 day Shred dvd - it has plenty of cardio in it, is short (20 minutes plus warmup/cooldown) and very very effective.

It's not just exercise though, 80% of weight loss is due to food changes rather than exercise changes. Try using a meal planner, and have a look at a (free) website like www.foodfocus.co.uk to see actually how many calories are in what foods, and how big an adult portion is. For years I was eating double or triple portions of breakfast cereals because that's what the picture showed on the front of the box. It was only when I started weighing my portions that I realised just how much I was overeating.

Another useful tool is www.fridgegraph.com where you can print out a graph of your weight loss target and pin it on your fridge. Works well to stop me snacking, and gives me something to aim for :)

Good luck, you can definitely do it!

I'm married to a workaholic with two children, plus running a business so I also struggle with time and childcare.

Thanks Naetha I have looked at you links and they are great. I have to note that foodfocus reckons I am obsese which I'm def not,God if I am what are the rest of the population???

Detox is a complete waste of time and the word doesnt exist either, our body does this efficiently.

I hope this does help me!
