Anyone else on Exante?????

I put on 5 stone during my pregnancy Blush last year and managed to lose ALL of it in four months through Slimfast at first and then Exante.

However, I still have about a stone to lose to get to where I really want to be but after 20 weeks of a VLCD my willpower is seriously starting to wane!!! Particularly as I weigh less than I did when I got pregnant!

Is anyone else on Exante who wants to help me get through this final stone?????

I'm doing shakes and bars as not really a fan of the soups although I do have a thai chicken one occasionally.

I'm also having the Biggest Loser bars or ASDA Measure Up bars which are suitable alternatives to the exante bars (and much cheaper!).

Anyway - anyone else an Exanter????

Hey BooBearBoo!
Funny I found this thread as I have been looking in to doing Exante today.

Well done in your weight loss, that is absoluately amazing!!!! Grin and Envy

I think you should look at how fabulously well you have done, the hard work & the effort you have put in to get where you are and how you have previously resisted temptation and just think you are almost at a cross roads - which path do you want to choose? Moving forward to losing that last stone, the final bit of your journey? Or another path which takes you right back to the start? Sorry fi that sounds harsh but you have come way to far to let things slip.

Can I just ask Re Slim fast & Exante - how did the 2 compare? I did the Cambrige diet before, and was doing really well and then I fell pregnant with DD! Hurrah! But since then I havent been back on it, she is now 6 months and the CD is quite expensive so I was thinking of doing SF for a while and then came across Exante.

Hi lizard!!

Thank you! Yes I am sooo pleased I lost it and lost it quickly too as I imagine if I had waited (as most people suggested!!) then time just passes and passes and then I probably wouldnt bother!!

I liked slimfast (lost the first 20lbs in 6 weeks on it) but it is full of sugar so makes you really hungry between meals. Exante is fab because it is low carb, after a few days you don't feel hungry!

Can I ask how much you have to lose??

Yes I looked at the sugar content of slimfast& was really shocked! Exante has about half that whereas cd shakes have 0g of sugar.had a chat with dh about it this arvo & have decided to go back on a vlcd & use exante. I've got a lot to loose overall- About 7st for a normal bmi Blush. thing is I have have 30th bday coming up in about 7 weeks time & I currently feel terrible. Have Just got that whole food addiction going on but felt sogood doing cd & wasn't hungry after about day 5. We are going away for my bday and I just want to feel a bit more comfortable, you know- rather than trying to get through the summer wearing jeans & linen trousers. Have you been on any of the miniminis website? Looks like quite a lot ofsupport on there. So what did you loose in terms of dress sizes? You must look like a completely different person (standing ovation!) :)

BooBearBoo · 23/04/2011 21:27

Yes I am on minimins!!! It is sooo helpful, I love it.

Would you believe I went from a size 16 to a 8-10! I still would like to lose a little more - I have very small bones so still have a muffin top IYKWIM!!!

7 stone is definitely do-able - there are loads of people on the minimins site who have lost that (and more!). You'll find some great support on there.

You should use your 30th as a good incentive!!!

Wow that is fantastic! Did you go through lots of clothes?? I cant imagine that you kept your size 16 trousers wrapped around you until you were a 8/10 Grin
Yes I thought i would use my 30th as a good incentive to kick start & then go from there.

It was like for the first time in my life I actually felt in control of what i was eating rahter than feeling like i had a food addiction! How have you fared over easter?

BooBearBoo · 24/04/2011 23:43

I wore stretchy leggings mainly!! Also had a few 12s and 14s lurking in my wardrobe so they came in handy! To be honest I lost it so quickly that I didn't wear them very long at all.

Fared great over Easter - expressly (or should that be eggspressly? groaan!) told DH and family to NOT buy me any chocolate and they didn't! I've been 100% for almost a straight week so expecting a good loss for my weigh-in on weds :)

Ah well done BooBear! That is fantastic! Willpower of steel Grin

I am planning to start next week - need to place my order next week just before pay day and then start over the weekend although in someways maybe it will be better to start when DH is at work. Need to get rid of the eggs in the house though. People to do over the top. We have even received them for DD - she is 6 months!

Do you mind me asking - were you overweight before or was your weight gain just a result of your pregnancy? I've been needing to loose weight for a long time but it is tied into lots of emotional overeating and thats why I almost felt freed when I did the CD before.

Have you been exercising at all?

BooBearBoo · 25/04/2011 09:38

Yup we have some for DS and he is 6m too!!!! I get all the exercise I need pushing his pushchair around!! He weighs 20lbs which is good exercise for the arms too!! he he. No exercise other than that!!

I needed to lose about 10lbs before I got pregnant but I don't think I was actually overweight. 10lbs to get me to where I wanted to be IYKWYM.

OP posts:
lizardqueenie · 26/04/2011 19:30

yep ISWYM!

How are you finding weaning DS if you are not having any food? This is the only thing I am thinking with DD that might be tricky

Beavermum · 29/04/2011 02:39

Hi am not doing exante but looked at it. Am doing All about W8. In 8 weeks I have lost 2 stone. It is soup, shakes and meal replacements. there are 4 programmes rapid - you have 4 replacements a day regular 4 packs plus a small meal 50:50 and one for type 2 diabetics.

I chose regular so I could have meal with DS (6)

I tried slimfast, biggest loser and tesco own and the taste and range of these are much much better

serendipity16 · 30/04/2011 19:11

I'm on the CD and i'm considering swapping over to Exante.
I was just wandering what flavours you've all tried and which ones are your favourite.
Also do you buy the bumper packs as thats the only way it'd be cheaper for me.
Currently i'm having the veg soups (love this one) and the choc orange bar with the CD and don't mind the choc mint shakes.

Oh and one last thing..... if you've swapped from another VLCD such as the CD or Lipotrim & gone on to Exante, has the weight loss continued to be the same, as i've noticed the calories are higher with Exante than with the CD.
I'm a slow loser even on the CD and it worries me that it might make my weight loss stall.
