Walking or cycling to work - which is better?

I brisk walk 20 mins to walk everyday and am thinkign perhaps cycling the long way round would aid weight los.

What do you think?

depends.
with brisk walking you're carrying your whole body weight, and if you use your arms to drive you forwards and proper stride out you're using your whole body, which will burn calories a bit quicker than a bike which is just leg work
