Ok.... Started off 13st 2,lost 1 1/2 stone with WW 2 years ago (got to my goal weight) then put it all on plus more. Have spent the last year going between 13st 8 and 14st 4 so I need a change.

Am considering atkins or a low GI diet but would appreciate any views on these and what sort of things I can eat (or not) before I go and spend a fortune on cookery books!

Don't know much about atkins or low GI diets. I have done WW a couple of times but the points system doesn't work for me. When I get to night time and I still have a few points left I think great now I can have..............

6 weeks ago I started eating healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks. I also walk 5.5 kilometres 4 times a week and I have lost 6 kilograms. I allow myself a higher fat meal or takeaway and a small chocolate on a Friday night only. Have not drunk any alcohol in last 6 weeks. I need to lose another 6 kilograms and plan to cut back walks to 2 to 3 times a week when I reach goal.

example day for me is:

bfast - 1 orange, porridge and a coffee
snack - 1 banana or dried apple and 2 plain bikkies
lunch - salad sandwich or toasted low fat cheese and tomato
snack - 2 crackers with promite or similar
dinner - tomato based past or meat and vege

Also needed to mention that I reduced my portion sizes greatly. I was eating 2 to 3 times the portion size allowed under WW for dinner and breakfast.
