I had a chat today with my gp about my weight and she has told me that she is happy to prescribe me Orlistat but to do some research on it to see if it is something I would like to try and then we'll start at my next app if I want to go ahead.
I am happy to try anything but the only thing that puts me off at the moment is the side effect of the runs!

does that happen if you eat the wrong stuff??

how overweight do you need to be to get this? its on prescription?

I think it blocks the fat which is why it causes the runs so the less fat you have the less fat there is to block I guess.

Yes I'd get it on prescription but I think Alli is the same thing that you can buy over the counter but I can't afford that.

I don't know how overweight you need to be but I am 18st Blush and have always battled with my weight :(

I have used it with great success. You very quickly learn what to avoid food wise as any fat will just go straight through you. I never had any of the horrid leakage/greasy farts side effects they say can occur. I started them on a weekend where i knew I was home so I could get to know what could or could not be tolerated. You only get the runs if you eat fat - no fat, no runs.
