I have a 6 week old baby and shed loads of weight to lose after eating for britain slightly too much in pg as it was the only thing to help my never ending pg nausea.

I'm currently 3.5 stones heavier than my pre preg weight, but, even my pre preg weight was a couple of stone above my ideal weight Blush . So, I have a long way to go.

Anyone else wanting to shift some pounds and give each other a kick up the bum support? Don't let me do this on my own - I'll never manage it Wink

Ooh can I join? Need to find scales and tape measure and will start tomorrow. Time for one more creme egg before then Wink.

WanderingSheep · 20/04/2011 22:56

Can I join in? I'm desperate to lose weight and this thread will help keep me motivated!

I had my 8 week post natal check today and the doctor gave me the go ahead to do proper exercise. I've got the 30 day shred DVD from Lovefilm but I just need to fine the motivation (and energy) to do it!

janedoe25 · 21/04/2011 07:25

Hi ladies just marking my place, i need to loose weight to look half decent in my wedding dress and for planning a future pg. No idea how much i weigh as i have no scales (must buy some later) but i am a size 18 Blush. I am looking to drop at least 2 dress sizes before October/November.............

slowangels1 · 21/04/2011 07:49

oh wandering the 30 day shred dvd Shock - you're brave Wink . I looked that up on you tube and is way too advanced for my unfit body Blush .

Well, I've got my 8 weeks check next week and a physio appointment the following week for my bad back. Struggling to walk that much with my back so don't think I'll be back at the gym straight away but at least I'm making efforts with the physio to get there eventually

Ok angels now I'm scared, lol! I don't know anything about it, just people on here saying that it works. I'm so unfit too. I used to walk loads but stopped during pregnancy due to being huge and achey.

I'm not overweight, just have some wobbly bits that I would like to shift. I'm so crap at healthy eating and have no willpower whatsoever! I'll probably have to start properly next week, what with it being Easter weekend and all! Wink

Mahraih · 21/04/2011 23:35

Ah, a pp thread! I must join, have been waiting for one of these ...

DS is 10 weeks and I would like to lose a 1st4. I'm 11st4 (size 10). I'm within the healthy weight range but still wobbly and can't fit into many of my pre-baby clothes.

Not having any problems with appetite, it seems to have gone back to normal. But I'm not doing any exercise apart from walking ... need to change that!

mizk can you let me know how your buggy workout goes? I'd love to try that.

Good luck over Easter everyone - it's only a couple of days :)

tadjennyp · 24/04/2011 01:22

Yay I managed to lose 3 lbs over 4 weeks. Not remarkable but hopefully the kind of weight that stays off! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend. [busmile]

must resist easter eggs.....must resist easter eggs Grin

'diet' is going terribly. Don't know why I even try as I've eaten so much junk. Also finding I'm obscenely thirsty and hungry all the time but that could be bfing.

Got as far as looking at my gym class timetable but not sure whether to rejoin yet as due to my bad back I'll only really be able to do the yoga classes and have to work out if anyone will have DD for me when I go and the class and journey to and from will take 2.5hrs which means I would have to express to make sure there was a feed ready incase DD was hungry while I was out - it all takes so much organisation and planning it almost doesn't feel worth it - please someone tell me it will get easier to get out of the house alone as she gets older?

I am, however, seeing a physio in a couple of weeks about my back so feel like I've got something booked to help me get better enough to excercise.

wandering how did 30 day shred go? Hmm

I'm wandering about this famous davina post natal dvd - anyone tried it? how gentle/hard is it?

hi mahriah - I'm quite Envy of only having one stone to shift Confused

Don't worry Angels, just about to spoil it with a creme egg and have been eating dh's birthday cake! Well I baked it.... Wish I was as good a baker as you though! The Davina is quite nice, just a gentle introduction to exercise again and some good toning exercises. I recommend it if you can't get out much. Not sure about your back though. Can you ask your physio when you see them next?

tadjennyp · 28/04/2011 17:30

How is everyone getting on? Are we all giving ourselves an extra week because of Easter? [cgrin]

slowangels1 · 04/05/2011 07:44

I gave myself a week of for easter Hmm . All the choc eggs have gone but now I've completely got a taste for chocolate and need to have a stackful little after lunch and dinner Confused . My mum has always been the same so I'm worried I'm picking her bad habit. I even sneakily ate most of one of DHs easter egg Blush .

Weighed myself yesterday and maintained weight, so at least not put any one.

Tried really hard to cut back on eating yesterday as I grave all the time all day and find it really Blush when I go out or meet people and I always have to be eating, but I just found I got so ravenous I had to eat tons and tons to get rid of the stomach pain I had from hunger (and I really was still eating alot yesterday). Do you think this is due to bfing?

OP posts:
slowangels1 · 04/05/2011 07:47

and instead of grave I mean graze Blush

OP posts:
tadjennyp · 04/05/2011 22:35

I keep telling myself that about the bfing angels! Off to a friend's house who has some scales to see what damage Easter has done!
