veg boxes help me eat healthily

Hi not sure if this helps but I get a veg box to try and keep me eating well. I find that because the veg is there, delivered and will only be wasted if I dont eat it I do a lot more cooking. My veg box comes from Avid organics in Yorkshire and the lady is happy to talk to you if you want to set yourself up a certain style of box to suit you. She also does homemade breads, as well as gluten and sugar free goods and even really healthy ready meals!!!

sounds good. We have Able & Cole down in SE England, havent used it yet, but it is something I keep in the back of my mind ie "To Do"

Actually, off to google now.

We get able and cole bags from DC's school (PTA makes profit on each bag, we get them at wednesday pick up). I don't think it makes much difference to my diet though as I always buy loads of veggies from supermarket.

Ah we're in West Yorkshire. Good luck to you both. How about a goal for exercise - Race for Life or something in the summer???

skydog - yes am doing 2 5km runs and triathlon in summer! Have lost all my excess weight, just don't think I can attribute to veggie box as eat loads of veggies from supermarket!

my goal is to walk more - which I am doing. I have 2 dogs and 2 children so instead of jumping in the car I try to walk. It is working and it is a small change, but it is helping. Dogs get walked every day anyway, but am doing different routes with lots of steep hills for my big dog and lots of jogging in spurts with puppy.

When I have lost more weight I will do more exercise to help tone those yukky bits.

Going to hit the swimming pool with kids in the holidays so hopefully that will help a little too.

So... small goals for me at the moment. Wink
