I'm size 12/14 but only short so VERY lardy, especially round the middle and upper arms. I have just had some minor surgery but once I am healed will be Shredding. I'm also trying to eat sensibly, keeping carbs to a minimum, portion control and avoiding processed food as much as I can (I don't "do" diets, they make me go a bit mental).
Really struggled to lose about a stone post baby and since i stopped bfing about another half stone has come off without trying, so am hoping that body is back to "normal" now and effort will pay off.
Have a social event in mid-July and I want to look really good - will I be able to get a lot of this flab off by then?

TIA for any thoughts/advice! I'd especially like to hear from anyone who has managed a transformation in a relatively short space of time.

My mid July you could have a perfect body... if it was really important to you.

I was a total blob in October (12 stone 5, size 16, post baby and bfing & flabby)... now am 9 stone 3 and a size 10, and toned. Am trying now to get to 9 stone....

Strict (healthy) diet and exercise (gym 3 x a week).

Ooh well done! I assume you're eating "clean" - grilled fish/poultry, veg, that sort of thing? Can I ask how your gym work breaks down in terms of cardio/strength/toning?

I think you are probably a lot more dedicated than I am prepared to be, but you give me hope that I can get to a size 10 and tone up significantly with some hard work.

Diet, yes "clean & simple" eating stacks of vegetables, lean meat, fish, eggs, low fat dairy. Limited fruit (phases of one piece (not banana though) a day, sometimes none though) nothing processed or with sugar added. One cheat meal a week - but not excuse to totally pig out (ie no seconds or fried food etc).

Sample day - 2 egg omelette and 90g low fat natural yoghurt breakfast with 10g oat bran
tuna & cottage cheese salad for lunch
grilled chicken and veggies for dinner.

Using dukan as guide and trying to stick to 1200 calories a day.

Gym focus on cardio (training for triathlon so cycling (and spin classes), treadmill and swimming) but some weights too. Plus stomach exercises. Also done some wii ea sports active and shred.

Up to you, it is possible to safetly loose 2lbs a week through diet and exercise. You have 3.5 months so can loose around 30lbs so around 2 stone.

I admire your dedication!

I can't lose 2lb a week without going to near-starvation rations (fairly petite and 1lb a week will do me) and I can't count calories/do WW, as it makes me go bonkers :) but I will certainly clean my diet up some more.

How much time are you spending on cardio each week? I suspect you're doing more than an hour in the gym to fit that lot in...

Gym 75 mins x 3 times a week. Plus a 20 min swim during DC's lesson.
Plus shred sometimes on non gym days.

Thanks! Gives me something to aim for...wish me luck, a stone off would make me veeeery happy though I don't really care what the scales say, the mirror and the tape measure much more interesting!

Buy the south beach diet book and don't count calories. Its great for tummy fat.
