Seriously.
pisses me off.

Got into work and lovely collegue announces shes gone and brought almond crossiants for us all for breakfast.

There are only 3 of us in the office.. its hard to hide. I said thanks very much but i had already eaten.

She says ' but you have to eat it, i brought it for you'

i said that i was trying to watch my diet

and she said that we all are, and to stop being silly.

Big fuss happened and i had to eat the damn thing. Do you know how many cals are in an almond crossiant. 330!!! 330 of my 1200 a day.

:(

And i didnt even want it.

So - how on earth do you get round this?

"oh you are so kind and lovely, thank you! Can I save it for my mid morning coffee?" And then hope she doesn't notice when you don't?

"Paul McKenna has hypnotised me so that I can only eat this when I am hungry. I'll save it for later, thank you very much!". Then I would eat it later when I was hungry and enjoy every bite Grin

I would say, (and I have done) thanks for thinking of me but I'm only eating 1200 calories a day so if I eat that I'd have to manage without any lunch. Or say you are doing carb free diet so are in ketosis.

She can't make you eat it but if she did I'd then keep on making comments how starving I was as I had no calories left for lunch.

Luckily for me I have a male colleague who is overweight who likes cakes a lot so is happy as he can have 2!!!!
