I have seen this advertised in my area and wonder if anyone has given it a go?

Hello
Yes I did and it didn't work at all, but was nice to talk through some stuff with someone - was a lot of money for basically talkiing therapy!

I would have been better off paying the 200 quid for a personal trainer instead...

I had hypno for weight control recently, I was offered the hypno band or 'control room'. I chose control room and after 2 sessions I do feel different and have lost 8lbs in the last two weeks (although am also doing the get couch to 5k thing). Can go into more detail later but got dd clambering on me!

Did mine at 'city hypnosis' in London, was a groupon offer.

Thanks for your quick response style. I was also going to ask how much it was if anyone responded 'yes', so thanks again!
So did they hypnotise you or just talk to you?

pumpster that would be great if you could find some time later to go into a bit more detail. Have to go and do a few things myself now.

Hi
The first session was talking and then the next session I was hypnotised and then given a CD to listen to as much as possiblem and then the next session we talked about the hypno band operation and then finally the last session was having the band fitted but to be honest I don't think it would ever work for me as I'm too logical and think too much about stuff and how things work etc so probably talked myself out of it.

I would personally use get paul mckenna off ebay cheap and see if that works for you at all, if it does then you my be open to hypnosis.

Also I wasn't offered the control room so can't help with that one!

Hi sorry for the delay!
I had 2 sessions- first session was 50 minutes in which she asked me what my triggers were (bread/carbs) and what issues I had (portion size/comfort eating) then she hypnotised me.
I was fully aware of what was happening and was worried I wasn't entering the deep state, but I think it's a bit of a myth that you are 'out of it' and she assured me afterwards it was normal.
The hypnosis involved entering a 'control room' and adjusting the settings that I have for food eg turning the switch off for comfort eating, eating more healthy foods and less fat etc etc.
I did feel different after the 1st session and for a few days after, but ended up overeating on the Friday night and I was convinced it hadn't worked!
The following Monday I went for my 2nd session and she reinforced the suggestions in my mind and I definitely felt more 'hypnotised' in that session.
I have not overeaten since and my motivation is much improved, am exercising more and don't feel any urge to eat the snacks that I scoffed before! (also having smaller, healthier dinners).
Let me know if you want to know any more Smile

I bought the Paul McKenna book in january and it worked really well. I lost 8 lbs the first week and just over a stone in the first month. There are rules to follow, only eat when truly hungry, chew food 20 times, no tv or reading when eating etc.

They may seem simple, but real life just got in the way for me. I didn't have time in the morning to sit for 20 mins and eat breakfast!!

I have gone back to a slimming club, and doing really well. I will certainly use the hypno band to maintain my weight once I get to my goal.
