Which do you prefer? Think I am leaning to the old.

Old, I have given up and doing the Dukan Diet and it is going so much better than WW.

stainesmassif · 28/02/2011 21:35

New, new, new. Though I am ebf a ten week old as well. Which helps a lot!

ValiumSingleton · 28/02/2011 21:35

old because I know it and I followed it quite closely at one point so I have a feeeeel for it now. I follow a low gi diet but I keep an eye on points too, so it's my own thing. They say you can eat anything on ww, but I don't really.

I would have to learn the second system. The annoying thing is, you know how some products like yoghurts say how many points they have? well now obviously they are talking new points....

So if I just knew how many old points in a new point I'd be happy.

VS I don't think it's even as straightforward as that, they seem to take a lot more factors into consideration, whereas before it was calories and saturated fat, now you have to take all nutritional information into account. I don't think the points would convert iyswim.

oh... it sounds complicated.

Well my mum says that in her day .... Grin if there was fibre you could deduct points. eg, bowl of all bran 160 calories = 2 points but if there were 8 grms of fiber in that then you could divide it by four, which gives you 2 and deduct 2 from 2 and so a bowl of all bran was almost 'free'.

i can't find any evidence to support this though! Maybe she dreamt it when she was very hungry.

but whenever i'm hungry i eat a small bowl of all bran and so i can snack without putting on the weight.

O. M. G. I think my brain just broke. Confused

However, I do think fibre plays a more important part in the calculation now as fruit is free (this is why I like the 'new' ww) but juices cost points.

I've never tried all bran...

old...new is too complicated and very very slow weightloss imo

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2011 00:30
