Eat less move more Smile Smile

If you are trying to eat healthy suggest sticking to calorie limit and low GI/GL diet.

I wouldn't say move more - but lift more, get those weights and move them about. Squats, lunges and rowing with weights to increase your muscle ratio.

Think run, weights, cycle, weights, swim, weight, run, weights, cycle, weights

As for food, think raw and cook, raw food and cook it.

Don't buy prepared food if you can help it.

raw breakfast - fruits, porridge,
raw/cooked lunch - salad and chicken or fish
cooked dinner - make the food

eat all meals of small plates, your stomach shrinks and evbentually your less hungry, this is if you have over eaten or have emotional problems with eating

Theantsgomarching · 24/02/2011 14:36

Only eat when you are sitting naked looking in a mirror Grin

Second low GI/GL diet. Google "slow carb" diet. Very easy to follow, no calorie counting and you get a cheater day once a week. You'll feel so much better too rather than walking around in an insulin-haze all the time. For toning, weights are definitely the way - one-set-to-failure gives best and quickest results, multiple sets of dinky weights does bugger all.

On a serious note ww online never fails me and is only ten quid a month..

5inthebed · 24/02/2011 19:36

Keep a jar of pickled onions/beetroot/gherkins in the fridge. Eat when you're feeling peckish. Low calorie and tasty.

foreverondiet · 24/02/2011 21:10

For me its logging everything on tesco diets online. When my subscription is up am going to use one of the freebie options like myfitnesspal.

I need to know exactly where I am.....

i'd re-introduce snacks, but healthy ones, half a banana at 10:30, with a handful of unsalted nuts/raisins,or a smoothie (innocent do nice ones) then a 4:30 pm a piece of fruit.

nothing after 9pm and only eat pasta/rice/bread after a workout.

small portions, write down what you eat and weigh it for the first month to work out how many calories you are actually eating. you quickly get an idea.

also switch to wholemeal stuff (bread, pasta, rice).

keep at it.

i've lost 4 stones in 8 months.
