losing a stone in 9 weeks? is it possible

going on holiday and currently have about a stone left to lose currently 10st 2lbs is this possible
if so what sort of things would use suggest?

I have heard of the Dukan diet but also read some scare stories. Where can I find information on it and would you recommend I try it? I have 2-2.5 stone to lose.

FourFortyFour re: dukan - I bought the book but there might be enough info online. Its not for everyone but it does seem to work, even in short bursts. Basically think low fat, low carbs, high protein and vegetables on every 2nd day. I don't think its a great idea long term but it does give a weight loss boost - did 5 days last time I hit plateau and lost around 5lbs.

In summary: Day 3-5 only eat protein (low fat meat, eggs, low fat diary, fish & oat bran)
Every second day after that as above, alternate days allowed vegetables too. No calorie counting.

Once you have reached your target you introduce good carbs into diet.

Thank you, I will take a look when my head is less like cotton wool and I don't have a sick child to worry about. I want to lose more weight as well as needing too.

I have lost 17.5lbs since 3rd Jan with slimming world and a bit of exercise. This has included going out for meals on my birthday, my sons birthday, our anniversary, valentines and a weekend away. I have about 3 stone to lose so it may come off quicker than you - but its easy and it works. So yes - its perfectly do-able if you are committed to it. My top tip - drink LOTS of water about 8 pints a day if you can manage it (I cant at the mo!)

Easy to do!

Lost a stone in 5 weeks through gym and a healthy low carb - so not piles of red meat and cheese and still lots of pulses. Lots of water, nothing else aside green tea or black coffee (not sure of health, just works), cut back on the Wine.

I'm in a bikini next Monday and want to shift 5 lb this week
