Help! I'm totally addicted to junk food!

I need to lose 2 stones. I know what I should be doing but I can't help eating loads of junk food. I can't seem to control myself.
I'll eat loads of crisps, cake, chocolates. Anything high fat really. I'm more of a fat addict than a sugar addict I think.

I hate it but don't know how to kick the habit. Sad

I think you can lose the 'overwhelming urge' gradually. I love this stuff too, but have to restrict the stuff I bring in to the house for that reason. I do allow dc's some of this stuff, but try to get stuff I don't like, and not a lot of it. I occasionally have a McDonalds happy meal, when I'm out. They've got all the calories etc on that sheet they put on the tray. I don't think it works to ban it completely.

sounds like carb addict - although those foods high in carbs?

don't have it in the house. buy nice other things to eat instead. fill up with something else.

are there any vegetables you particularly like? you can get tinned ones to pick at - i have artichoke hearts and beetroot. have a whole bag of stir fry with a little bit of grilled fish or meat.

I think it's the carb / fat combination that is so addictive - you wouldn't eat spoonfuls of mayonnaise would you? Low-carbing worked for me (after a few days the cravings disappear).
