I need to start seriously thinking about stopping my weight gain and loosing the fat

Just had a baby, eating too much starving hungry all the time and eating a fucking HUGE portion in the evening when DP gets home.

Have 4 stone to loose... Need a buddy

How old is the baby? Are you breastfeeding?

I BF DS2 (DC3) for 6 months and was starving the whole time (and put weight on) BUT lost it (dieting but it came off fast) once I stopped feeding. Am nearly there, but have been dieting since October.

If he's less than 6 weeks old OR you are still breastfeeding be a bit easy on yourself!

She's 10 weeks today and yes am breast feeding.

Feeling very low. I was a size 8 when met DP and now I'm a size 16. Much less confident.

I've been hiding how much I eat. I'm now completely obsessed with food. :(

I felt low most of the time I was feeding as I was also a size 16 Sad...

I always felt so hungry when feeding and if I didn't eat proper meals I ended up waking up in the night hungry.

I knew I was stopping (BFing) when he was 6 months so I just tried to forget about how fat I was.... I just wouldn't have the willpower to diet when feeding.

That being said you can cut out the rubbish, eat loads of veggies etc etc.

I had 3 stones to loose, now down to last 4-5lbs and he is almost 10 months (started at almost 6 months - have done it in 4 months) - have been very strict.

i feel shit though - really down and frankly ashamed :(

My mum told me when DS2 that I was so fat I was putting my health at risk Shock - and my mum is overweight so a bit mean as well as hypocritical.

My dad is GP and he said best to BF DS2 for 6 months and not worry about weight until DS2 weaned.

Am very Envy of those who loose it all easily afterwards.

Maybe do something like slimming world as its compatible with BFing?

Hi Foreverondiet, I had my dd 2 years ago now anf am still size 16. Really need to loose over two stones and 3 sizes... Could you possibly share what you did to loose all that weight in such little time... Desperate for help. Any suggestions would be helpful...

Hi yummymummy...

I decided when DS2 turned 6 months (in October) that I would loose the weight by his first birthday in April.

With that in mind I:

a) paid a subscription to tesco diets for 6 months
b) signed up a for a triathlon (its actually 2 months after this birthday but it was the most suitable event)
c) Bought EA sports active and dumbells for wii

Doing the tesco diets totals plan and stuck strictly to my points total - basically keep food low fat & low GI. DH is very helpful - eats same food as me, and is encouraging. Although I have had occasional treats it has always been within my totals limit.

I also started training for my triathlon, and did ea sports active on each day I wasn't in the gym (30 day shred would be fine if you don't have a wii etc). I have posted (today) what I eat on the 2011 pig to twig thread.

Weight has come off at an average of 2lbs a week. My size 12 trousers now too big Smile. I have 2 months until his birthday and only 5lbs (out of 42lbs) to go. Even though weight loss has slowed down think I'll acheieve it!

My mum's rude comments (see above) definately focussed me!
