I'm considering my options and I think LL, Cambridge Diet and Howards Way are pretty much all the same.

Can anyone offer me advice on the difference?

If you have done HW, how did you get on with it?

Oh, it's a diet! I thought you were off to buy a huge yacht and go sailing!

Used to love Howard's Way - haven't thought about it for years!

Yeah, it's a VLCD, but before I spend loads of money I want to see which works the best.

Hi, interested to see this as I did Howards Way myself a few years back. Lost 4.5 stones in one of their groups, took just over 3 months from what I remember. Have been back for regular weigh ins since to keep a check on things. I know they do postal too, as my friend did it that way after I lost my weight, if no groups in your area as think they only have a few groups.

I have to say, the support I got from the locum running my group was really good and my friend said the lady who looked after her when she did it by post was really good, too. Hope that helps!

hi helsbellz - did you gain the weight back? 4.5 stones in 4 months, that takes some going. Congrats. I'm simply in awe of you. How much water did you have to drink? was it hard?

Hi only put about 10 lbs of it back on, have gone up and down a bit times like Christmas and holidays but as have always gone along to the free Maintenance sessions at the group near me has helped me keep on the straight and narrow! Happy with where I am now anyway, think only got down to a size 10 cos it was the lowest I had ever been and really am happier at a size 12 now am a woman of a 'certain age'!

They let me do 2 shakes and a meal to help me control my weight now done the full diet, which is good on the odd occasion when I put the weight on a bit. And what was really good is, I was getting a bit bored of some of the flavours they had after all this time, they have just got lots of yummy new flavours in for maintenance people (nice wafers which you can pretend are Kitkats with a bit of an imagination!)

Drank 4 litres of water a day while on diet, did build that up gradually but was quite a good water drinker before dieting anyway, so didn't have a problem with that. There were a couple in my group who weren't so good and think they might have had a bit less than that, but no problem for me with that amount.

Found it much easier than any other diet I had done before, which was really surprising as thought it would be much harder! Think was being in ketosis which helped, from what my Locum said, as it keeps you really calm when you around food and I found a developed a strange detachment from food, where I just looked at it like "I'm not allowed to eat it anyway, so it doesn't bother me", while I was dieting.

Sorry to go on so long, hope I haven't bored you!

Hi lospollos, it's a meal replacement diet, they do groups (not sure how many). They also do a postal diet if you don't live near enough to one of their groups, as my friend did and she found that really good, too. They do milkshakes, soups and bars for the meal replacements.

Have double checked their web address as haven't been on there for a while, it's www.howardsway.co.uk if you wanted to look them up.
