I did this a few years back Anniebear - really enjoyed the exercise and the diet was a healthy low fat one - simple to understand and follow. Unfortunately I didnt keep the weight off that I lost

I remember there being much less emphasis on the diet part than, say Weight Watchers...but it may well be very different now. I have the Salsacise Video and it is great fun...its (hmmm) just remembering to do it!!

It was...way back then...you could eat a certain amount of calories a day..provided that everything you ate was under 4% fat per 100g or something like that...

Anyone else got an updated view??

Last time I went was a couple of years ago. You are given a calorie allowance dependent on your weight - no-one starts on less than 1400 calories a day, above 15 stone you have approximately 100 calories per stone of weight up to 18 stone (so 15 stone = 1500 cals, 18 stone or more = 1800 cals). Everything needs to be less than 4% fat (look for the figure on the nutrition labels of your food - you need less than 4 grammes in every 100 grammes). 150 calories of your allowance may be used for a daily treat, which can be anything you like and doesn't have to be less than 4%.

It worked for me while I was doing it, and I loved the exercise, but the class closed down, and the weight went back on again. But if you stick to it, it works.

I hate that smug woman with a passion.

I felt I was eating a fairly good amount, yes; I was on 1800 calories though, so I should have done!

I lost over 3 stone so the diet and exercise together do work. It all went back on though once I stopped the classes.

I have lost big amoutns of weight twice now. One on my own just eating less and also with WW.

I lost 4 and a half stone with WW and have put 3 back on. I know I couldn't do it all again and am desperate to get this 3 stone off beofore I get right back to were I was (although not far off now)

Just wish some body would sell me some willpower!!

I have done calorie counting, SW, WW, they all work for me if I do it properly

Just enjoying my food too much!!!!

Thanks
