Did your GP say you should lose weight?

WW or SW really depends on what style of eating suits you best. If you like to cook and can't be bothered don't have time to look up points and count stuff, then SW is better. On SW your portions aren't controlled, although they tell you to stop eating when you're full.

If you want to control your calorie intake more carefully and like to eat ready meals a lot, then WW is better. Don't mean to suggest that WW push you to eat ready meals - they don't - just that if this is something you like to do, then you'll find it hard to fit that into SW.

I would say portion control is the biggest difference - I'm doing ww online, I don't really eat ready meals, so probably eat similar-ish things to SW, BUT I have to watch the portions which is the biggest issue for me as I would tend to just pile my plate high!

I think the new WW plan is much more like Extra Easy on SW

I cant commnent much on WW as I have never done it, but have done SW for a long while and tend to eat that way most of the time

WW seems to be better if you like 'treats' but SW is def better if you like to eat plenty of good solid food like bowls of pasta or jacket potatos
On SW tho, a glass of wine will take most of your syns, and there are no 2syn cake bars or anything like you can have on WW. That said I like quantity, so i guess thats why SW works for me

Sprouts..
I do ww because it seems like a common sense approach( reduce carbs and saturated fats and exercise more). I hardly ever eat ready meals, and have found I am losing weight fairly steadily cooking the sort of meat and 2 veg meals my mum makes. I find going to meetings keeps me honest, maybe thats something for you to consider as well : attend meetings or use the internet.
Never tried SW though, so cant comment
I am on the WW thread on here and found it really helps
