I am currently a size 16-18 and would like to get back down to a 12-14 so this will mean a loss of around 2 stones.
I have cut all the crap out of my diet and have toyed with joining a gym. I used to go before I had the DC's and really enjoy it but tbh I can't really afford the subscription these days. I was wondering if anyone has used one of them work out dvds you can buy and if so whats the best one to get?

What kind of classes did you like at your gym? Dance, basic aerobics, bodypump, fitball..? It's good to mix, of course, but does not make sense to buy a program you wouldn't really like to do.

I never actually went to classes, just used the gym and pool so am open to suggestions. I need to tone all areas plus loose weight so any suggestions grateful. Smile

Hiya, I have just started using the "Clare nasir boot camp " DVD and find it really effective. Have noticed a difference already and have been using it for about a fortnight, I don't use the diet plan though, good god I would starve if I had to follow that :) I just watch what I am eating, word of warning though, it's tough and god you look like shite when it's done, make sure no one is coming round those mornings ;)

I personally quite like P90X for toning up, very effective and forces you to also exercise the muscles most women don't really pay attention to, but are actually important. cardio parts I find so-so.
For cardio, would be excellent if you can get your hands on some Bodycombat DVDs (start carefully, if you haven't worked out for a while). unfortunately those are officially only sold to instructors but they show up on ebay every now and then.
